I highly recommend this tour if you love being in nature. Plitvice National Park is huge and though we only covered just a portion of it, it still required quite a bit of walking, about 8 to 9km, so wear comfortable shoes and bring hiking sticks if you need them. Our guide walked with us the whole way and waited for everyone at checkpoints before proceeding. He was very informative too. Rastoke was a lovely first stop, a small village with waterfalls and windmills leading up to the grandeur of the national park.

Absolutně jsme si výlet zamilovali, i když chůze byla místy opravdu náročná, ale výhledy stály za to! Náš průvodce Mateo byl velmi znalý a podělil se o mnoho zajímavých faktů o celém národním parku i o historii země.

You should not miss the chance to visit Plitvice Lakes National Park. It is a must-see. Pictures don't do it justice. And if you're in Zagreb, you must take this tour. If you're lucky enough, you will have Petra as your guide. She was awesome, knowledgeable, funny, and kind – the perfect tour guide.

The trip to Rastoke and Plitvice lakes was well organized. Enough time was allocated for each location. At Plitvice lakes, the guide took us to walk the lower and upper lakes. It also included a boat trip. It was time well spent except it was very tiring. We walked more than 20,000 steps.

The weather wasn't great that day, with light rain in the first half. After the rain stopped, the Plitvice Lakes were incredibly beautiful. This tour requires a certain level of physical fitness as there's a lot of walking involved. Initially, I felt the guide was walking too fast, making it difficult to slowly appreciate and take photos. However, I later realized the lakes cover a vast area, and that pace was necessary to complete the tour. They do stop at major viewpoints for some time, allowing for photos. If you don't have a car, I highly recommend joining this tour. You can bring your own food, although there are vendors at the rest stops, but expect queues for purchases and restrooms.

Es ist ein langer Tagesausflug mit viel Laufen. Ich bedauere die alten Paare, die auch so viel laufen müssen. Es ist eine große Reisegruppe im Bus und viele Leute im Nationalpark. Im Grunde ist es sehr schwierig, ein Foto mit Ihnen darauf zu machen, da man nur schnell vorbeigehen kann und die Zeit für Fotos eher kurz ist. Mein iPhone hat am Ende nur Fotos und Videos von Seen und Wasserfällen. Da die Tour riesig ist, konnte man manchmal nicht hören, was im Ohrhörer gesprochen wurde, da der Abstand zum Reiseleiter zu groß war. Man konnte nicht näher herankommen, da man in einer geraden Linie gehen musste. Ich würde vorschlagen, längere Zeit für Fotostopps einzuplanen, und der Reiseleiter sollte uns zu einigen wichtigen Fotopunkten bringen, anstatt nur durchzugehen. Der Reiseleiter hat natürlich trotzdem gute Arbeit geleistet, eine so große Gruppe in ihrem Alter zu managen. Ich glaube, sie erwähnte, dass sie noch studiert und sie ist die ganze Zeit mit uns gelaufen.

You could also feel his passion for his work; he didn't just take everyone to see the sights, but also diligently looked after the well-being of each group member. The overall experience was very comfortable. The scenery at Plitvice Lakes National Park is truly postcard-perfect, with incredibly dreamy lake colors, and the trails and waterfalls along the way are impressive. Although Rastoke is a lesser-known attraction, the watermill village has unique scenery and is also great for photos. The entire itinerary was smoothly arranged, and the time management was good, making it a day tour that leaves you with wonderful memories. If you're traveling to Croatia, I highly recommend joining this tour!
