I was worried if I could take my suitcase to the Sahara, but it was transported in the car. Our driver, Tariq, was very friendly, drove safely, and spoke English that was easy to understand. The journey to the Sahara, including breaks, took 8-9 hours. The time flew by as we watched the changing scenery, and Tariq explained various things, which made it very enjoyable. The lunch spot we stopped at along the way was a buffet for 120 MAD per person (including 1 drink). I didn't know this beforehand, so please be aware if you are tight on currency exchange. The Sahara is breathtaking! Although we experienced an unexpected downpour the moment we arrived, we were still able to do a camel trek, and by night, it cleared up, allowing us to enjoy a campfire, Berber music performance, and stargazing. The next morning, we had breakfast at 7 AM, watched the sunrise from 7:30 AM, and rode camels back to the car around 8:30 AM. The camel handlers and those who help with photos during sunrise viewing will ask you to buy souvenirs or give a tip. It can be difficult to refuse, so I recommend having small change ready to give as a thank you. (I didn't have small change and ended up paying 1000 Japanese yen.) The photos they take are wonderful.

Dang super amazing tour. If you are looking for a tremendously rewarding tour, you should not miss this. The exotic beauty of the Sahara will take you to a magical moment of your life. From the camel ride, witnessing the sunset and the sunrise the next morning are the epic highlights of the tour. We were so fortunate to have Rockstar Tarik, who drove and accompanied us to Merzouga. J'ai vécu une expérience incroyable lors de mon excursion dans le désert du Sahara au Maroc. Tout était bien organisé et l'ambiance était vraiment inoubliable. Un merci tout particulier à Badr, qui a été incroyablement serviable et gentil tout au long du voyage. Il a fait des pieds et des mains pour nous aider, allant même jusqu'à nous aider à changer notre destination finale lorsque cela était nécessaire. Nous avons vraiment apprécié la flexibilité et la volonté de répondre à notre demande. Dans l'ensemble, ce fut une expérience merveilleuse, et je la recommande vivement à tous ceux qui souhaitent explorer la beauté du Sahara !

The guide was excellent, and we had no problems during the tour. Although it was a long bus ride, there were plenty of breaks, making it comfortable.

I went on a 2-day, 1-night desert tour to Fes with Driver Imad14! I was traveling alone and applied for the tour, and Imad took such great care of me that I felt very reassured. The desert tour was truly enjoyable, and I want to visit Morocco again.

I made a last-minute reservation the day before departure, but I was able to join the tour very smoothly. Our driver, Houcin, totally stood out—he’s super polite, always chill, and his steady driving made us feel completely safe the whole trip. Honestly, he made everything so much smoother and enjoyable! For anyone thinking of going, here’s some advice: There’s nowhere to buy drinks once you’re in the desert, so stock up on soda or orange juice at the shop before the camel ride—the camp provides water, but it’s nice to have options! You can bring your own suitcase, and the local staff are awesome about carrying it to the camp for you. There are showers, which is a plus, but don’t expect consistent hot water—power cuts happen, and it’s a bit unreliable. The 2-day trip felt just right; it’s mostly about taking photos, but the scenery is stunning—endless dunes and amazing sunsets. Definitely worth doing!

Our friendly and enthusiastic tour guide, Imad14, was very responsible and drove steadily. Along the way, he gave us local specialties to taste, and at the end of the trip, he gave us Sahara sand packaged in a gift bottle. I changed my itinerary, and Imad14 quickly helped me sort it out. A super great experience.
