This hanbok and photography experience was a real highlight for us! Even though we arrived early, they welcomed us warmly. The shop was clean, and their hanboks were beautiful and well-maintained. The aunties were very friendly and attentive. They helped us match outfits for our family of four, added winter outerwear for us ladies, styled our hair with accessories, and provided traditional shoes and props like a sword for my son and bags for us — all at no extra charge. My daughter looked like a little princess, and my son looked like a gracious young prince. Our photographer, Junjie, truly elevated the experience. He was professional, patient, and made us feel comfortable right from the start. His gentle guidance on posing really helped. He brought us around to capture a wide range of scenes from nature corners to majestic palace structures, ensuring every shot felt unique. We felt fully taken care of, and the session was fun, relaxed, and incredibly memorable. Highly recommended!

《Hanbok, Makeup, Professional Photography》 I had a 12 PM photoshoot reservation and arrived 15 minutes early. The makeup artist first applied my foundation, carefully concealing stubborn dark circles, then attached false eyelashes, drew eyeliner, and finally added a touch of lipstick, blush, and eyeshadow. The overall makeup was natural yet refined. The enthusiastic shop assistant helped me choose a Hanbok. I selected a sapphire blue long skirt paired with a short, pure white top, creating a simple and elegant look. The hairstylist then designed a princess-style hairdo for me, and I set off with excitement. I met the photographer, Junjie, at the entrance of Gyeongbokgung Palace. He was not only professional but also very attentive. It was the peak season for autumn leaves, and although there were many tourists, he was able to keenly capture the light and angles, and find less crowded spots, allowing me to comfortably show my smile. During the shoot, he constantly guided my poses and expressions, making me feel completely relaxed. The photos turned out naturally beautiful and moving. I am very grateful to Junjie.

We booked an outdoor hanbok photoshoot with makeup. The place was crowded since it was the weekend, but I still got nice shots. The photographer was really good at teaching poses. He had a good set of accessories that he lent to us for the photoshoot, and he had a good set of lenses for a professional photographer. Special thanks to our photographer Junjie. Location: Gyeongbokgung Palace Female makeup experience - The foundation was not blended well with the skin, so I looked like a geisha. It might be because she was in a hurry to cater to other favored customers, but the second makeup artist was great though.

Amazing experience! Everyone in the Hanbok shop was accommodating and friendly. I liked my make-up (I don’t do make-up). The photoshoot was enjoyable, Junjie was fun and very good! I highly recommend this experience.

Such an amazing experience! Beautiful hanboks to choose from, the ladies did an excellent job with my makeup and hair. They let you pick out a cute handbag and shoes to complete the look too! My photographer was Junjie, he was incredible!! Helped me feel very confident and pretty and gave great directions for posing. 10/10 recommend. love the pictures!! The pictures I shared are before edits. 48 hour turnaround on an entire Google Drive full of photos and you get to choose your favorites for edits.

The Hanbok and photo shooting were a memorable experience for my family! The agent contacted us via the selected messaging app a few days before the shooting. The Hanbok rental is very close to the Palace. The staff could speak Mandarin. My girl loved her new hairstyle a lot. Our photographer, Junjie (李军杰), gave helpful advice on selecting the right Hanbok beforehand. He and his team were attentive and very considerate. They helped us communicate with the Hanbok staff about our preferences. Getting a toddler's and a kid's attention in a series of photo shoots is demanding, but he managed it well!

I've always loved the cinematic, pictorial quality of Korean-style family photos, and I never expected our family of three's portrait to turn out so heartwarming this time. Thank you to photographer Junjie for capturing the happiness of this stage for us. In front of the lens, there were no exaggerated poses or complicated backgrounds, just clean light and shadow, and the love we have for each other in our eyes. The photographer perfectly captured Dad's gentle gaze, Mom's subtle smile, and the child's innocent dependence. I also want to thank the staff at Hanbok Star for helping us choose our hanboks and for the makeup and styling, which created such a precious and unforgettable memory for our family!

We recently (in May 2025) had a family photoshoot with Jun Jie and the experience was nothing short of amazing! From start to finish, he made the entire process feel relaxed, fun, and completely stress-free — which is no small feat when 3 years old boy is involved! Jun Jie has a good talent for working with families and children. He was incredibly patient and engaging with our kid, and managed to capture his personalities so beautifully. The communication before the shoot was clear and helpful, and Jun Jie gave us great tips on how to prepare and where to get our rental hanboks. We are absolutely thrilled with how the photos turned out — they are some of the best we have ever had taken as a family. We will treasure them for years to come.
