Excursão de Aventura de um Dia em Kitulgala saindo de Kandy

This is a forewarning for all travellers thinking about booking this experience. Firstly, the itinerary is absolutely useless. Ignore it, because the operator of this tour certainly does. We were picked up an hour late, which from reading other reviews, seems to be a common occurrence. Terrible communication, but that seems to be par for the course for this experience. Breakfast was not included, unless you call pulling over to a deli on the side of the road breakfast. Upon arrival in Kitulgala, communication again was awful. We were told we were about to do White Water Rafting, then moments later we discover we’re actually doing canyoning. The actual experience of canyoning and rafting itself was amazing, and great fun which is where this review earns points. Unfortunately we had to halt our canyoning experience halfway through as one of our group is a Type 1 diabetic, which obviously isn’t the fault of the operator, however we could’ve been much better prepared had communication been improved. We then were taken to lunch at a roadside restaurant which was fine, but not really reflective of the cost of this tour. We were then driven home, finishing three hours earlier than our itinerary suggested. No swimming or canoeing was included, which again is listed in the itinerary for some reason. While Kitulgala is beautiful, and we had great fun rafting and canyoning, this experience has discouraged me from ever using Klook again. Communication was dreadful, the operator lied about what we would receive as part of our package, and the cost was nowhere near reflective of what you receive, which turned out to be quite minimal. I know packages like these are tempting, but to any would-be rafters or adventure enthusiasts, I would steer clear! Book the activities independently, and deal directly with the rafting operators!

It was super fun! Just make sure when you get there, show them the package you paid for. I guess they were a third party cause when we get there, they told us that we only have to do the river rafting (no canyoneering or confidence jump and they are charging us extra for this) good thing we have printed out our klook voucher and showed them that we have everything included, then they agreed. By the way, the pick up time was 8am for us, not 6am like what was mentioned in the description, and there were no breakfast served. I called the person in charge which was mentioned in the voucher and she was useless. She didn't send the driver's details unless I told her so.
