I had a pleasant stay. The staff (bar and cleaning) and ladies at the front desk (manager) were friendly, polite and very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff quickly accommodated my special requests. I would rate the staff 10/10. I felt safe as a solo traveler. I had an amazing time in Nice and the hotel made it possible. Thank you!

The room is smells cigarettes. Even though I requested no smoking room. Another problem that they made me pay 150 euro for deposit. But when I checked out, they are delayed on returning deposits

The location is so good!

Gorgeous view with a balcony facing the water. Very large room in comparison with others hotels on the promenade. Very nice entrance with a ramp to make getting big roller bags in easier. Breakfast was included with my stay and was OK. Bathroom was very spacious, but bed was hard as a rock. Overall, I was very pleased with the value, and it was very clean and modern.

The price for this hotel is too high for a 3 star they could have added more food to the breakfast ! There was no music and no dinner and no pool . You give a lot of money but nothing much in return .

My stay at the Royal was underwhelming and very uncomfortable. The hotel is old, smells, and has maintenance issues. My shower leaked water all over the floor my entire stay due to faulty seals and a clogged drain every day. The hotel didn’t have any available rooms to allow me to change, weren’t able to fix the issue, and only offered to give me towels to clean up the water. The manager nor his staff apologized or acknowledged my concerns. They only tried to defend their stance that they tried to offer me a free drink coupon and to move me into another room on my LAST NIGHT. In my opinion, this didn’t suffice for the fact that I had to endure an uncomfortable stay for most of my trip. I would also not recommend the breakfast. When I went in to the breakfast area, flies were swarming the food and the staff did nothing to protect it. It grossed me out and I didn’t return the rest of my stay. A complete waste of money. Bottom line, if you’re looking for a pleasant stay that feels comfortable and has good customer service, I wouldn’t recommend it.

What a lovely hotel! We were lucky to get a refurbished room that looked directly onto the Promenade des Anglais and the sea. The air conditioning was great and it was lovely to come back to a cool room after the heat of Nice, The girl on reception was amazing and gave us all sorts of useful advice.

The location is great, customer service was really helpful.

Nice large room, friendly staff, great view. Would stay again
