This hotel does not feel like a 4 star hotel as advertised, we got the feeling it was a cruise ship room from a dated ship well past its prime. Go for a newer APA hotel for an equal room and bathroom size but for half the price.

Excellent location to explore all of Tokyo. Short walk to Golden Gai and Memory Lane night life precincts as well as Shinjuku night life and Godzilla. We’d absolutely come back and stay here again.

Pros: right next to the Seibu-Shinjuku train station which had a Starbucks and Krispy Kreme. Also right across the street for several little restaurants, McDonalds and a 7-Eleven. The staff were friendly and helpful. Cons: there was very limited storage (eg no closets, drawers) for our clothes. There was an open clothes rack with hangers but we just ended up keeping things in our suitcase. The shower curtain didn’t extend all the way around the tub so we’d have to use our towels to soak up the water on the floor anytime one of us showered. Our room wasn’t ready at the 1:00pm check in time. We were asked to wait in the lounge area for about 15 minutes but the staff person was very apologetic and even gave us some pretty chocolates candies for the wait.
