Good location but the parking cost was high

It was overall an okay stay. We book the apartment for our first night upon arriving, and the last two nights before leaving Iceland after 9 days of travelling. The first apartment room had a weird smell. The 2nd time around we had another apartment with a leaky toilet. The floor around the toilet was always wet which made everything feel icky. We were travelling with a baby so we wanted the apartment room in order to cook some easy meals for our baby. The kitchen is fully functionnal; we had issues with the exhaust that seems to leak some of the smoke/cooking fume next to the fridge, hence activating the fire alarm 😮‍💨. The hotel was very conveniently located which is big plus. The staff on our first stay were wonderful, but the staff on the second stay not so much. We felt dismissed when we mentionned the leaky toilet issue. I'm not sure I would book again next time we are in town.

Both on the website and Expedia state that the “family room” has 2 beds with 2 beds in the picture. We were given a room with 1 bed and a pull out sofa. The front desk person states that the family room is a one bed and pull out sofa room. I reserved this specific room to have 2 actual beds. There is a discrepancy to what is listed online and what you actually get.

Location is excellent, right off the main road for shopping and restaurants. We stayed twice during our weeklong vacation and reserved the Family Apartments both times. I will say the Family Apartment 1 is much better than Apartment 0 (on the lower level). Both had adequate space, but the TV and fan were broken in Apartment 0 and there are no views. Ask for Apartment 1 or 2 at check in. Spa is in the main building across the street, small but nice tub and sauna. Staff was very friendly both times. Only 4 designated parking spots and they are always taken. Will need to park in zones 3 or 4 (only $8/day, free on weekends), which are about .2 miles away. Street parking in direct vicinity is zone 1 and that was much more expensive (about $80/full day). Only major area for improvement is TV availability. No local/global channels and could not connect to YouTube TV app since we were out of country. I know you should not be watching TV on vacation, but World Cup was on and would have been nice to be able to watch games while getting ready to go out, or before bed. Would stay again.

Right in the middle of it all! Such a wonderful location! Everything is walkable. Laundry to freshen up. Great stay!! Highly recommend!!

Parking is very limited Plan on street parking

This property was very nice, very unique. We got “home 3” and It included a kitchenette with everything you needed to use it. It was near excitement and landmarks. However, this closeness was too much for us because it was noisy. There was an alley on one side that got very noisy from people partying past 1:30am.

Great stay!

Absolutely perfect location in Reykjavik. Apartment had everything we needed for the two of us. Washing machine was a great advantage.

Great location, great amenities and size. The weekend noise was our only issue. Great if you are looking for night life, hard with kids needing to sleep.
