This is our third stay in the hotel. We booked a south corner room which has a lovely view and plenty of space. The staff, as always, are very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast is lovely here. We also enjoyed the onsen in the hotel which is now included for guests.

Hotel is on the older side but well maintained. Location is good - about 10-15 minute walk to main station. Taxis are familiar with location as well. We booked ‘deluxe quadruple room’ w 4 beds with 2 being non-standard beds but they comfortable. Main bedroom was spacious even with all the beds. Liked that bedroom door with small hallway leading main door, powder room/closet and bathroom to could be closed. Breakfast was acceptable with good selection to accommodate all types of diets. Onsen was quite nice but lile other user says, layout is a little odd. Self pay laundry available but location not so convenient - on main lobby floor next to smoking room. Overall we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay.

Alleenstaand verblijf

Stayed for 8 days with fulll amenities from onsen to massages to great Japanese restaurant onsite. Will stay here again when I’m in Sapporo and highly recommended others to check this wonderful historic hotel.

The onsen is great, with jacuzzi and sauna facilities, but the outdoor pool is quite small. Next to the onsen is a spa lounge, a good place to relax after hot bath, and there is free flow of soft drinks. During happy hours, from 2-8 pm, there is free beer too. Best part about the hotel is that it is next to ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel where the airport bus has its first pick up point, so a very convenient location. The airport bus drop off is in front of Hotel Monterey Edelhof Sapporo. Hotel is within walking distance to Sapporo JR station where there are many shopping malls. It is also walkable to Tanukikoji Shopping Street with lots of shops, as well as Nijo Market for fresh seafood.
