Halona Blow Hole tours

My parents and my father-in-law and I took the bus driven by Mr. Oli. They are quite elderly, and by that point in the trip, they were starting to feel tired. However, they were very satisfied with the trolley tour along the Hawaiian coast, enjoying the cool breeze. Throughout the ride, Mr. Oli provided many explanations and shared interesting stories about the main points of interest, making it a very enjoyable time.

We hebben echt een geweldige tijd gehad tijdens deze tour! Onze gids, Jonah, was van begin tot eind zo deskundig, oprecht gepassioneerd en ongelooflijk vriendelijk. Aangezien we deze reis geen auto hadden gehuurd, maakte het ophalen direct bij het Hilton alles gemakkelijk en ontspannend. We hebben verschillende delen van het eiland verkend en zoveel favoriete lokale plekjes bezocht. Onderweg probeerden we heerlijke lokale gerechten zoals knoflookgarnalenrijst, vers fruit van kraampjes langs de weg en ananasijs. Een van de meest memorabele momenten was het spotten van zeeschildpadden — zo'n bijzondere ervaring! We genoten ook van ontspannen op het strand, het voeren van kippen en kuikens, en het bewonderen van al het prachtige landschap. Jonah deelde gedurende de dag veel interessante lokale geschiedenis en verhalen, wat de ervaring nog authentieker en betekenisvoller maakte. We gingen naar huis met een blij, voldaan gevoel en dankbaar voor zo'n leuke dag. Deze tour is een absolute aanrader als je het eiland wilt ervaren zonder de stress van het autorijden!

De chauffeur was goed, gaf ons tijdens onze tour goede geschiedenis en details, waardoor ik kennis opdeed over Hawaï. Ik raad aan om de donuts van Leonard te proberen!

Hoewel het weer niet optimaal was, heeft Moe, onze gids en chauffeur, de bezienswaardigheden zeer zorgvuldig geïntroduceerd en ons voldoende tijd gegeven om tijdens de korte dagtocht van het strand af te gaan en meer van de verschillende natuurlijke landschappen van Hawaï te zien. Ik zou in de toekomst graag nog eens terugkomen voor een diepgaandere reis!

The Guide John W. (David) was FANTASTIC! We learnt a lot from him, as he told us a lot about Hawaii during the tour. The tour finished early at 3.30pm, so clearly it was possible to add quick 5-minute photo stops for some of the places we only drove past. It is sad that there are too many drive past sights

Chris was our guide for the day! His driving and guidance were excellent, and he took many photos for us. The order and locations of the spots were a little different from what we booked, but we were very satisfied with the experience! He even treated us to our favorite Leonard's donuts! It would have been tiring to navigate everything ourselves, but he took us everywhere, making it very easy and enjoyable!

Initially, the bus arrived 15 minutes late to the meeting point, but that was my only moment of anxiety. The free malasadas, the magnificent nature and scenery, Dole Plantation, seeing sea turtles while snorkeling, the exquisite garlic shrimp, and the Jurassic Park filming locations—everything was so packed that 10 hours flew by in an instant. Our tour guide, Dirk, seemed to have been an English teacher in Tokyo, so he was fluent in Japanese. Since everyone else in our group was foreign, the tour was conducted entirely in English, but when he spoke to us, he used fluent Japanese. He was so proficient that he could even crack jokes in Japanese. This was my first time in Hawaii, and I'm already planning to go back soon.
