we took the 9.15am ferry, it's not too crowded and the safety briefing was precise. the crew helped to spot the whales and we had 20 mins of whale viewing time before we said farewell to the the giant sea mammals. The boat was quite distanced from the whales, without a powerful camera it's looks pretty tiny. see the tiny fish using handphone vs the bigger ones using a camera. Overall, we thank God for the nice weather and good show-off by the whales. experience:great safety:good location: satisfactory, Abit far instructor: knowledgeable, whales do not eat during migration.

So lucky that the whale was so close to the boat and they were quite active during the morning that have seen them several times during the trip. One small tip is that the ferry is aboard close to the aquarium. We almost missed the ferry as it just said the meeting point is Darling harbour and we went to the other side of the harbour. Allow some time as the crew will have a talk on the safety matters before getting on the boat.

Food was average but the crew made up for it. The explanation provided by the commentator was great and kudos to the crew that we saw dolphins and many sightings of humpback whales. Thanks! ☺️

This time, I participated in an activity I'd always wanted to experience, and thankfully, it didn't disappoint. I went out to sea twice. The first time, I took a large boat (with about 50 people). From a distance (about 100 meters), we saw humpback whales spouting and swimming to the surface as they migrated. In about an hour and a half, we saw around 5-6 pairs of whales, and even encountered a pair of dolphins playing around the boat. A few days later, I joined a fast boat (with about 10 people). This time, I was even luckier to see a humpback whale's tail slapping the water up close for two to three minutes. It was an unforgettable experience!

OMG! Absoluut elke dollar waard! We boekten deze ervaring om de verjaardag van mijn vader te vieren en het bleek een van de beste dagen te zijn die we in Sydney hebben gehad. Een koala van dichtbij zien was ongelooflijk 🐨. Ik heb er een foto mee gemaakt, heb er de hele dag zoveel over geleerd, en mocht daarna ook kangoeroes ontmoeten en met de hand voeren 🦘. Er waren zoveel geweldige Australische dieren te zien, waaronder een Tasmaanse duivel, een kasuaris, een Komodovaraan, dingo's, wallaby's, vliegende vossen, schildpadden, kikkers en zelfs een enorme zoutwaterkrokodil van 500 kg 🐊. We ontmoetten ook de schattigste slaperige wombat genaamd Scarlett! Een van de dingen die ik het leukst vond, was leren over Aussie Ark en het belangrijke natuurbeschermingswerk dat ze doen om bedreigde Australische diersoorten te helpen redden. Het eten en de wijn waren ongelooflijk. De boemerangles was ook zo leuk 🪃 Mijn vader had een geweldige verjaardag en we praten er nog steeds over. Ik raad deze ervaring ten zeerste aan aan iedereen die Sydney bezoekt. Bedankt Sean voor zo'n memorabele dag!
