Balat & Fener was a last-minute addition to our Istanbul itinerary, and we're so glad we decided to go! We were running a little late because our Grab driver dropped us at the wrong location, but Mr. Yunus patiently guided us over the phone and made sure we found the meeting point without any issues. This tour introduced us to a completely different side of Istanbul. Walking through the colorful neighbourhoods, visiting the historic Greek School, beautiful churches, and charming streets gave us a deeper appreciation of the city's rich multicultural heritage. Do be prepared for a good uphill hike—comfortable walking shoes are a must, and it may not be suitable for those with weak knees or limited mobility. Mr. Yunus was knowledgeable, friendly, and explained the history and significance of every stop clearly. It was a wonderful and memorable excursion, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore beyond the usual tourist attractions.

Geweldige ervaring en elke cent waard. Wij waren de einzigen die aan de tour deelnamen en het leek wel alsof we een privégids hadden. Onze gids, Elaida, had erg veel kennis over de verschillende bezienswaardigheden. Zo veel te zien in slechts 12 uur tijd. De lunch was ook uitstekend.

Our Ancient Troy tour was like a journey back in time 🫶🏼walking through the ancient ruins, hearing the stories of Troy, the Trojan War, and the people who once lived there made me appreciate history in a different way. The journey from Istanbul was long, but absolutely worth it. Our guide made the experience more meaningful with the stories, history, and little details. I’m so greatful that we took the time to visit Troy! 😊

Deze pas was superhandig en bespaarde me veel tijd. Ik hoefde niet in de rij te staan voor een kaartje; ik hoefde alleen de QR-code te scannen en naar binnen te lopen. De enige attractie waarvoor ik met een gids moest afspreken, was het Topkapi Paleis. De grootste wachtrijen waren voor de veiligheidscontrole en het museumgedeelte binnenin het paleis. Over het algemeen maakte het bezienswaardigheden bekijken veel gemakkelijker.

Batu is een uitstekende gids! De Basilica Cisterne is absoluut schitterend; een must-see in deze fantastische stad.

Ik heb een geweldige ervaring gehad met het verkennen van Balat. Ik was eigenlijk de enige gast tijdens de tour, wat de ervaring nog specialer en persoonlijker maakte. Speciale dank aan mijn gids, Can, voor zijn vriendelijkheid, kennis en het zo goed begeleiden tijdens de tour. Alles verliep soepel en was goed georganiseerd, en ik heb echt genoten van het leren over de geschiedenis en cultuur van Balat. De hele ervaring voelde heel persoonlijk, soepel en memorabel. Een absolute aanrader!”

Our guide Mr Baris is very knowledgeable and helpful. He shared a lot about the history of the places. However, as it’s a walking tour, it is quite tiring especially for those a little older. Nonetheless a good tour to began with at Istanbul.
