My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Villa Franca, and our experience exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, every member of the staff demonstrated exceptional warmth, professionalism, and a genuine desire to make our stay memorable. What truly impressed us was their attention to the smallest details, anticipating our needs before we even had to ask. The breathtaking views of Positano and the Amalfi Coast from the hotel are simply unforgettable and create a truly magical atmosphere. Combined with the outstanding service, elegant accommodations, and welcoming environment, Villa Franca delivered a world-class experience. We would not hesitate to return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking an exceptional stay in Positano. Special thanks to Antonio, Marcelo, and the entire front end team, including the transport team, for making us feel at home.

The hotel was lovely. It was situated near the top of a hill overlooking the Mediterranean sea and the views from my room were spectacular. The hotel came with a full complement of amenities but I most appreciated the room service as well as the complimentary breakfast service. It was some of the best food I had in Italy. I will definitely be staying here whenever I am in Positano.

Amazing. Start to finish. We chose this hotel for our honeymoon and it couldn’t have been more memorable. The staff, service, food (I’ve been sending photos home each day of breakfast), the roof top pool, views and just the beautiful decor and ambience. Monochrome, gold, chic. Exceptional staff. We adored staying here.

Clean room with nice furniture, comfortable bed, complimentary drinks and snacks and with an amazing view over Positano. Staff was friendly and helpful.

I expected a lot after being ranked a 5 star hotel as I’ve stayed in many and the experience was top tier. I wouldn’t rate this hotel a 5 star for these reasons. The property is on the highest point of Positano which ideally does give you a great view however walking to the hotel and city center is not by any means easy.. the hotel also doesn’t offer a full day shuttle service where instead they offer it from 8:30AM-12PM at 5:00-8:00PM and 10:00-12:00PM every 30 minutes intervals. So basically if you’re at the beach or stores mid day you’re going to have to climb a dreading 25-30 mins up all the steps in order to get your hotel. They offer a third party porter service at an extra charge which I believe a five star hotel should have their own services to take your suitcases up/down the city center/hotel for their guests. The hotel decor makes you feel like you’re staying in an Airbnb or in someone’s home. You don’t get a Amalfi Coast or Positano vibe from staying here it’s a bit too modern in my opinion. They have a Michelin star restaurant which we have a lot of experience with as well since we have done many chefs tastings, etc. This was by far the worst experience we have a had and every dish that came out was terrible. It’s a 3 dish minimum per person.. and we were hoping we would love it since it was conveniently located in the hotel. Other than these issues the positives are it’s a clean hotel, very welcoming staff, great views, and a roof top pool.
