A bed bug infestation completely ruined our stay. There were four of us, and at first we thought we were just getting mosquito bites. We later realized they were actually bed bug bites.
Because the room had traditional tatami flooring, it was almost impossible to spot or catch the bed bugs. We all suffered from multiple bites during our stay.
The bedding was clearly not washed. There were visible stains on the comforters, and instead of using proper duvet covers, they were simply covered with thin sheets. The pillows also had a strong, unpleasant odor.
The table was sticky, as if it hadn’t been wiped down for a long time. On top of that, the room was extremely old and worn out.
Please be careful if you’re considering staying here. I would not recommend this place.

Being close to dotonbori is a double edge sword. Good side location is convient for food, shopping etc. Bad side because its a ryokan you can hear the noise outside and the hallway. Other than that all good
