The instructor was very patient and friendly, explaining in detail how to use the SUP. We didn't need to exert much effort while snorkeling either. The entire experience lasted over three hours, and I highly recommend it to everyone visiting Kenting!

I'm a little under 5'3" (160cm), and my whole body freezes up even if the water only comes up to my neck. I failed at snorkeling in Phuket and Krabi, but I finally succeeded in Kenting, Taiwan! The instructor was incredibly kind and checked on my condition frequently throughout the activity. They said we might be lucky enough to see turtles, and we saw seven! The instructor took so many great photos for us! Everyone there was local, and there weren't any other Koreans. I really hope more Koreans discover this place and come visit! They have lockers with password settings, the outdoor shower facilities were decent, and they even have hairdryers and a spin dryer!

Parking fees are an additional $50 per single entry. There are dining areas throughout the museum where you can bring your own food, or you can purchase food from the museum's restaurants or stalls! The museum offers a lot, including a schedule of activities you can participate in. The children had a great time, and we recommend allocating about 4-5 hours for your visit!

Jeg var litt bekymret fordi det ikke var noen koreanske anmeldelser, men jeg dro alene. For det første snakket de utmerket engelsk og var veldig vennlige. De sa at hvis jeg mistet telefonen min, ville de hente den for meg, og de forklarte alt i detalj! Instruktør Yuki sjekket alt fra sikkerhet og oppover, så jeg hadde det veldig gøy. Jeg var så takknemlig for at de inkluderte bilder, 1:1-undervisning og omsorg for denne prisen. Vanligvis var snorklingen jeg har opplevd mer som å få et par briller og bli bedt om å leke, men her spurte instruktøren om jeg var ok hvis jeg svelget vann, og de forklarte om hver enkelt fisk. Such a great experience, lovely and passionate people running the tour and despite the language barrier they were very patient, attentive and friendly. The instructor initially pulls you around when you are attatched to a float to show you to the reef and make sure you can use your snorkling equipment correctly; then you are able to explore for yourself. So many beautiful fish, not invasive to the environment (marine protected area) and a highlight was seeing a turtle. They even take a few pictures for you and upload to their Facebook for you to download.

Det var en veldig, veldig hyggelig opplevelse! Det virket som om læreren ble tildelt basert på om man kunne kommunisere på kinesisk eller ikke. Siden vi bare kunne engelsk, ble vi tildelt lærer Angie! Haha, hun virket som den yngste, nyeste læreren. Forberedelsestiden, inkludert nødvendige instruksjoner for dykking, klesskift og forflytning til stedet, føltes som over 40 minutter. Vi fikk litt tid til å venne oss til vannet før vi gikk under. Jeg hadde dykket før og trodde jeg ville klare det raskt, men jeg hadde problemer med pusten i begynnelsen og mislyktes to ganger før jeg klarte det på tredje forsøk. Jeg var litt nervøs, men da jeg så de vakre fiskene, glemte jeg nervøsiteten. Lærer Angie virket flink til å finne gode steder å ta oss med til. Hun holdt oss bakfra. Da jeg strakte ut hånden, trakk hun meg forsiktig tilbake, kanskje fordi det var noe jeg ikke skulle røre. Det betyr vel at hun alltid fulgte med? Haha, et uforglemmelig minne!

1. Coach: A good coach is more important than anything else, and I've experienced both good and bad ones. The first coach, an older gentleman, was very kind; he chatted with us, took photos for us, and taught us not to be afraid. In contrast, another younger coach started the activity before we were even ready, before we had fully sat down or properly gripped the handles, constantly urging us to hurry up. Although we were on the water and wearing life vests, so nothing serious would happen, these are issues of safety and attitude. (I don't know what that coach teaches, but it's best to avoid younger coaches.) 2. Facilities: The showers were old and dirty, and there were insects. I'm a germaphobe and afraid of insects, so those spaces made me feel anxious. I recommend just a quick rinse there and then showering properly back at your hotel. 3. Experience: If you're not strong, don't do this activity. You have to constantly grip the handles, and they're very slippery. I even fell into the water midway because I genuinely ran out of strength. It requires much more effort than I expected. The force was so strong that I completely lost my grip several times because I had no strength left. Luckily, my friend was next to me, supporting me.

“The Excitement of My First Dive in Taiwan” My two children got their Open Water Diver (OW) certification in Hong Kong in July, and their first practical dive was here in Kenting. We initially went to another shop that had a lot of online ads and a large facility, but unfortunately, the experience wasn't great. Luckily, I had booked with Nanyung Diving! Nanyung's shop isn't big, but it's full of warm Taiwanese hospitality. They never rushed us, allowing us to take our time listening and learning. Coach A-Wei was incredibly friendly and gave very clear instructions; the introductory divers followed him. My children went with the experienced Master Tang-ge, who continuously taught them diving techniques and knowledge along the way. With them in his care, I felt at ease to enjoy my own underwater world! We didn't have plans for the next day, so we booked another morning dive with them. This time, the children went with Coach Long-Long, who meticulously searched for small marine creatures in the ocean for them to see. My older son said that once, the coach pointed to a pile of sand, and they looked and looked, not knowing what to see. Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be an adorable sea bunny! For these two days, the waves near the shore were quite strong! Since it was a shore dive (introductory dive), we couldn't walk into or out of the sea on our own. Fortunately, Coach A-Wei is strong and familiar with the terrain. Whether going out or coming back to shore, all we had to do was float and relax, and he single-handedly towed both of us safely to the center of the sea. We're so grateful for his hard work! As Master Tang-ge said: “The system isn't important; skill is!” Similarly, the shop isn't important; skill is! When I was diving with the other shop, I thought, “Oh my god! Is this all Kenting diving has to offer? So disappointing!” We are so thankful to the coaches at Nanyung for giving us a perfect experience! P.S.
