Vi dro i stekende solskinn, været var fint. Vi tok krystallvognen. Det var mer å se på høyre side – flyplassen, den store broen... (egentlig ser man det tydeligere fra flyet, den er ikke høy nok). Men på venstre side kunne man til slutt se Den store Buddha og Po Lin-klosteret. I krystallvognen føltes det som om man sto på vannet og over skogen. Jeg fant senere ut at Ngong Ping 360-reklamen viste panoramavognen. Jeg tror panoramavognen ville gitt en enda bedre følelse av å være «i luften». Da vi kom opp, var det fortsatt 20-årsjubileumsdekorasjoner, selv om feiringen nettopp var over. Det var en Ngong Ping Bing Sutt (kafé) hvor man kunne ta bilder. Vognen hadde bare lufteventiler for ventilasjon, så det var ganske tett. På returen med standardvognen var solen ikke gått ned kl. 18.00 på grunn av sommeren, og skyer dekket solen. Jeg anbefaler å sette av mer tid, 5 timer eller mer, hvis du vil besøke Den store Buddha i tillegg til Po Lin-klosteret. Jeg dro ikke opp den dagen, både fordi jeg ikke hadde nok tid og fordi det var for varmt; været ble overskyet først rundt kl. 17.00 den dagen. Jeg har vært der før, så jeg dro ikke opp denne gangen. Forrige gang tok jeg buss opp til Den store Buddha, men besøkte ikke Po Lin-klosteret.

The Hong Kong FunPass is decent overall, but we recommend that tourists planning to use it for the "TramOramic Tour" read the following tips: 1. Do not book a morning or afternoon slot during the summer. It gets extremely hot, and you will be sitting on the open-top upper deck exposed to the sun the entire time. 2. The schedule is very rushed. Basically, as soon as the tram arrives at the stop, the staff will rush you off because the passengers for the next time slot are waiting to depart. If you want to get a postcard or check out the decorations on the lower deck, you have to do it quickly while the tram is in motion. 3. At an original price of NT$750, you receive a bottle of water, a canvas bag, and some Ding Ding candies. However, you have to actively ask for the paper tram model and postcard (staff will not remind you, and once they are gone, no more are provided). Compared to paying to ride regular, non-tourist trams along the same route, visitors can weigh these factors and decide for themselves.

Jeg elsket denne turen. Hver eneste del var en glede, og barna mine likte den også veldig godt. Reiselederen var imidlertid uutholdelig og burde ha holdt munn; 45 minutter ut i sin endeløse prating måtte jeg snakke med mannen min over midtgangen på bussen, og han kjeftet på meg som et barn og ba meg om ikke å avbryte ham (det var bokstavelig talt 45 minutter ut i hans endeløse monolog). Bortsett fra dette var alle «stoppestedene» fantastiske.

The cable car staff and guides were all very kind and made learning about and sightseeing Tai O Fishing Village and the Tian Tan Buddha enjoyable. I don't think I would have been able to visit Tai O Fishing Village on my own, nor would I have learned about its history. I highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in learning about Hong Kong's rich history. We took the cable car back after 4 PM, and it was very crowded, so you might want to consider a priority pass, such as the Crystal Cabin.

This snack voucher is a bit cheaper, but the discount isn't great because it can only be used for certain set meals. If you want to eat at other places, you can order à la carte. The selection is limited to only a few restaurants, not all of them. I hope there will be more options for us to use it, and hopefully better discounts.

The experience was amazing and memorable. I'm glad we booked for 2 consecutive days and we got to ride almost everything except for the Jungle Cruise due to maintenance problem. But what i like the most was family got the chance to find a perfect spot in front of the magical castle. i was able to film the whole 20-minute momentous moment. A once in a lifetime experience indeed.

Overall, the RV was great, and the air conditioning was sufficiently cold, though the shower water pressure was a bit low. The service was good, and the foreign staff explained everything clearly! We purchased the BBQ set, and the food quality was excellent; it was enough to fill up three people! For water activities, my child and I chose surfing. The foreign instructor was very good, and my child, who was surfing for the first time, was already able to stand on the board. The RV rental seems to be operated in conjunction with the beach store, so many extra items like mosquito coils, insect repellent, beach supplies, sodas, and snacks are available at reasonable prices. This means you don't have to carry so many things all the way there! 😆
