Gold Coast Cruise

I'm Japanese! I'm on a family trip to Australia! My parents are golfing, and I joined this tour alone, getting picked up from the Gold Coast. Many of the participants were English speakers, and everyone was speaking English. I can't speak English at all, but I managed with the Felo translation app, gestures, and intuition! 😂 There was another person who joined alone, and I kayaked with them (the only paired activity). I powered through that too! Honestly, I was super anxious and nervous, but I think I'll stop being nervous partway through! Nearly 20 people participated, and I exchanged Instagrams with two of them. I probably won't see most of these people again, so don't be unnecessarily nervous, just go for it! ^^

Scanning the QR code for e-tickets was incredibly convenient and fast for entry! This time, I was lucky enough to see a massive humpback whale leap out of the water, along with playful dolphins swimming alongside and a stunning sunset over the sea. The scenery was truly breathtaking and incredibly therapeutic! The boat had clean restrooms, and although the indoor cabin was a bit stuffy and warm, and those prone to seasickness are advised to take motion sickness medication in advance and spend time on the deck for fresh air, seeing the whales firsthand made it all absolutely worthwhile. Highly recommended! Itinerary: Thumbs up! 👍

Sammenlignet med betalte turer i Australia, som ofte koster tusen eller to tusen, er prisen og verdien her relativt høy. Vi valgte å ta turen rundt klokken fire på ettermiddagen, og det var fantastisk å se både solnedgangen og nattutsikten. Langs begge elvebreddene var det hus med båter, og landskapet underveis var veldig vakkert!

All the staff were polite, and the singer was excellent, knowing how to create a great atmosphere. There isn't much of a night view on the Gold Coast, so if I had to choose again, I'd opt for the lunch cruise. I've been on a dinner cruise in Sydney before, and both the scenery and food were noticeably higher quality there.

Dette var min første snorkleopplevelse, og jeg var veldig glad og fornøyd. Før avreise ble det gjennomført en individuell spørreundersøkelse om reisendes svømme- og dykkeerfaring. Siden jeg ikke kan svømme og aldri hadde snorklet før, fikk jeg prøve gleden ved å snorkle under veiledning av turlederen Yuji. Underveis merket jeg tydelig Yujis grundighet og nøyaktighet; han forklarte sikkerhetstiltakene veldig tydelig. Når det gjelder maten på øya, syntes jeg personlig den var deilig, og de andre fasilitetene og omgivelsene ble holdt veldig ryddige og rene (spesielt vaskerom og toaletter, som var helt luktfrie). Dette var virkelig en fantastisk tur. ~Takk til Yuji for oppmuntringen, som hjalp meg med å lykkes med å prøve snorkling for første gang.~

The HOTA Cruise & Dine Experience Pass was such a great way to explore the Gold Coast! The hop-on hop-off ferry made it easy to visit different stops at my own pace while enjoying beautiful views along the river. The staff were friendly, the boarding process was smooth, and the ferry was clean and comfortable. I especially loved how relaxing the cruise was—it gave me a different perspective of the city compared to traveling by car or tram. If you’re visiting the Gold Coast and want a convenient and scenic way to get around, I definitely recommend this experience. It was well worth it!
