Highly educational and enjoyable tour, recommended. Easy to moderately difficult hiking, memorable photos. Malindo from Ooo Haa Adventure Tours was a very humorous guide & speaks fluent English. He fetched us from our hotel near Waterfront at 7.30am. [Btw, he can also pick up from airport but additional charge may apply. Can leave luggages in his van.] Our tour was flexible as the group only consists of 5 people. We didn’t manage to see any Proboscis monkey but we spotted many other wild life and plants. We even had a nibbling fish experience. Buffet lunch by only canteen was just edible. This Klook deal is cheaper than elsewhere, even after we include any additional tips for an additional one-way boat ride to skip return trip of a difficult trail (MYR50 for whole boat, can share) and for the guide as we liked his service. The additional boat ride brought us to coastal walks which we otherwise won’t explore via trails, so it’s worth. At low tide, take off shoes & wade to board boat.

Unfortunately, it's fruit season in this park until the end of March or even mid-April, so the orangutans don't come to the feeding station. However, the guide, Mr. Mas Daud, suggested an alternative: another wildlife park, about an hour from Kuching. However, the animals there are in enclosures, as it's a rescue center and each animal has had a less-than-pleasant past. But I saw a lot on the circular route of about an hour. The guide was simply sensational, explained a lot, and when he knew that I was also interested in small animals, he stopped everywhere and showed me some that I, as a tourist, wouldn't have seen at all. All in all, a perfect afternoon tour, highly recommended.

Et fantastisk sted hvor kultur, historie og natur møtes. Det var fascinerende å gå gjennom de tradisjonelle husene og lære om de forskjellige etniske gruppene. Omgivelsene i seg selv er fantastiske, og kulturshowet var høydepunktet. Anbefales på det sterkeste.

We absolutely loved our excursion to Satang Island and its surroundings. The team of guides and boat operators were all wonderful and dedicated to ensuring we enjoyed our trip. The activities were varied (crocodile and dolphin watching, snorkeling, visiting Satang Beach, explanations about turtle nesting). It was truly interesting, I highly recommend it. Guide:

Dette er en vanskelig anmeldelse. Først og fremst var selskapet, og spesielt guiden vår Den, helt utmerket, og vi vil anbefale dem på det sterkeste. Når det er sagt, var de faktiske turene for å se etter dyr ganske skuffende, da man i bunn og grunn gikk kanskje 1 km på gangveier og knapt trengte inn i selve jungelen. Guiden vår var utmerket til å forklare den forskjellige faunaen og floraen, og vi så sølvbladaper og neseaper, en grønn hoggorm, en frosk og en giftig orm. Ingen krokodiller, og bilder av apene var veldig vanskelige å få klare med mindre man hadde profesjonelt utstyr. Men det verste var innkvarteringen: vi forestilte oss at vi skulle vandre et stykke inn i jungelen for å bo i en slags hytte, men i virkeligheten var vi i et blokkhus rett bak inngangssenteret, 100 meter fra stranden. Rommet vårt var så vidt funksjonelt med en madrass på gulvet, et kjøleskap, 2 vifter og mye mugg på veggene. Det var ikke den beste nattesøvnen. Maten på senteret var imidlertid god.

We were picked up at our hotel right on time by the very friendly guide Mas Daud and a driver (didn’t catch his name). The drive to Gunung Gading National Park took about 1.5 hours. We were greeted at the Park by Antonia, a freelance park guide. You can tell Antonia is passionate about her job and equally passionate about all the plants in the forest. We were regaled with information about the various plants and flowers we saw off the trail. And most important of all, we saw a fully bloomed Rafflesia!! It appears Antonia keeps track of all the Rafflesia buds and has perfect knowledge of the probability when these very elusive and beautiful flowers will bloom. She was able to point out numerous other Rafflesia buds which we wouldn’t have spotted at all. Be sure to request for the very friendly and very knowledgeable Antonia if you fancy catching sight of the beautiful Rafflesia when you are visiting the Gunung Gading National Park.

It was an enjoyable and informative trip, thanks to our knowledgeable guide. We even learned some hidden stories from the White Rajah era.
