Matcha-teseremoni-opplevelse (Kyoto)

it’s in ANKOAN building. near the sushi restaurant if I’m not mistaken. near the bus station and we had 5 mins walk going there. Yuka-san was approachable and friendly. and she gave us cold tea instead of a warm one since it was extremely hot that time haha! we felt like we are in different era when she started the tea ceremony. it’s so cutteee!! and it was an incredible experience. you need to have patience!! 🤣🤣🤣 FYI, making the matcha tea was tough (we broke the matcha whisk!) haha! thankyou so much for the experience and knowledge!! we loved it!!

Incredible experience! Yuma-sen was an excellent Tea-Master and created a harmonious and pleasant tea making experience. It was so special to create our own cup of traditional Japanese tea in a beautiful ceremony. 10/10 would recommend !

Insightful trip, learned about the Japanese tea ceremony, how to properly enjoy a cup of matcha. Also had the chance to be involved in the ceremony. The host is very friendly and funny, can answer any questions we had. The session runs almost 2 hours in total, she doesn't try to rush things and let us all have our fun.

Amazing experience with Yuka. She taught us about the matcha experience with a lot of details, kindness and patience. Also, she allowed us to participate. It was really fun. ❤️She was very warm and her level of English was really good!!

Tolle Erfahrung! Hatten Glück und waren nur zu dritt! Sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Gastgeberinmit sehr viel Wissen! Location ist ein wenig ausserhalb und Gegend etwas ausgestorben tagsüber! D.h. pünktlich gehen ist empfehlenswert, und nicht vorher noch Zeit einplanen um zu schlendern.

Yuka was an excellent host: knowledgeable, fun, and great at creating speciañmoments during the entire event to keep the whole family engaged. She was patient with our questions and was meticulous with the details and demonstration when we wanted to delve fuether. Highly recommended.

Glad we did it! This was the highlight of our Kyoto trip. What an amazing and humbling. experience.

We loved our experience with Yuka-san! We felt very welcomed and honored to experience a (short-versioned) tea ceremony in Kyoto. First a welcome tea to get to know each other, afterwards Yuka effortlessly demonstrated how to make tea and we all got to try ourselves, a bit less effortless. We are very thankful Yuka gave us a glimpse into Japanese tea culture! Would 100% recommend! The address was wrong in Google maps, but it is a yellow building!
