Pixel Lab Tokyo: Gameboy Mod Workshop (Original/Advance/SP)

It’s okay if you’re a beginner. They will guide you through the whole process step by step. They speak good english as well. The whole place is so clean and neat and well designed. Everyone was so welcoming. 10/10 recommend this place!!!! Definitely worth your time and money. Thank you so much for this experience! It was the highlight of my Tokyo visit! <3

An amazing place! They teach you everything here, from the smallest component to the finished product. The team is extremely professional, and the atmosphere is really great and fun. I truly enjoyed building my Game Boy with their help—it looks absolutely incredible thanks to them!

Took my two kids to do the modding class. My 10 year old had a ton of fun, making his own game not. You get to pick your color, and solder the boards . Instructor Bin made it a lot of fun

I had absolutely great time with Luca here at the Pixel Lab Tokyo. Coming back home with a blast of Gameboy Advance. 10000* and 10000% recommend who love retro games to come here and build one by yourself

We had an absolute blast modding Gameboy SPs! if you're looking for a unique experience & souvenir while in Japan, I highly recommend booking with Pixel Lab. Before booking, I reached out with some questions that were quickly answered by Annie. She even sent photos, which helped a lot. We communicated in English, and there were no issues at all with language barrier, before and during the workshop. Also, my son decided to join me last minute, and I'm grateful they were able to squeeze him in. The workshop was led by Bin, who was super patient and walked us through the entire process, clearly explaining each step. We really loved this experience and I am so glad we set aside time for it!

The mod workshop was a really fun time! It gives you a nostalgic feeling while building it and choosing your pieces. Bin the host is really nice and welcoming and patient. You are helped the entire time so don’t worry about messing up! also make sure to choose the correct session as there’s different options

This was such a cool, fun, and interactive experience for the whole family. Great customer service and support was given throughout the whole experience. It was great getting to customize our own Gameboy SPs and getting to test out games. It was nostalgic getting to play the old school Mario games on our newly built gameboys. I highly recommend this experience for all!
