Hva du kan forvente
Alle har en matrett i hjertet som uttrykker hjemlengsel. For Chongqing-folk er det hotpot, ikke en "influencer"-restaurant, men den gamle smaken som har gått i arv fra generasjon til generasjon i nærheten av hjemmet deres. I denne opplevelsen vil jeg ta deg med for å oppleve den vakre naturen i Chongqing og smake på den autentiske "jianghu"-hotpoten som lokalbefolkningen elsker.
Det er et gammelt kinesisk ordtak: "En dags planlegging begynner om morgenen." Vår matreise starter med frokost. Om morgenen vil vi starte dagens reise med en bolle med autentisk Chongqing Xiaomian. Chongqing er kjent som en 8D-by, fordi byutviklingen og den unike arkitektoniske stilen i Chongqing vil gi alle en magisk sanseopplevelse. Jeg vil ta deg med gjennom noen veldig karakteristiske bydeler for å oppleve lokalbefolkningens livsstil, og du vil føle vår avslappede holdning til livet og det behagelige tempoet. Når det nærmer seg middagstid, vil vi sammen dra til en hotpot-restaurant som er gjemt i en boligblokk. For Chongqing-folk, som har høye krav til smak, er det en sjelden ting at en hotpot-restaurant har vært åpen i over 20 år.

09:30 Vi møtes ved Lianglukou for frokost (autentisk Chongqing Xiaomian); Ca. 10:30, med full energi, begynner vi å utforske denne både fantastiske og vennlige byen til fots. Jeg vil ta deg med gjennom noen bydeler; Ca. 12:30, vil jeg ta deg med til en mystisk hotpot-restaurant, som bærer minnene om det gamle Chongqings smak i 20 år. Etter lunsj drar vi sammen til et “skattested” for å nyte elveutsikten fra luften.

I really recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get to know the real CQ like a local. The guide was very passionate about her city and took me to the less well known spots to experience it. She’s also knowledgable enough that she’s able to adapt the tour with reasonable requests. Simialraly the places she took me for breakfast and lunch weee local spots I would never have found on my own. If you like seeing the real side of a city, great food and good company take this tour.
Panda and her colleuge Cathy, were both very wonderful tourguides! They spoke fluent english and brought us to key points of the city while also explaining the rich history. They also helped us with other things that required chinese and were always available on wechat. The food they brought us to were also delicious and well loved spots by locals
The city walk was thoroughly enjoyable as it took us through the old lanes and alleys that tourists generally avoided, giving us intimate glimpses into how the old and traditional co-exists with the new and shining. Cathy, our guide, was friendly, approachable and patient as we trudge slowly up and down the many slopes of this city.

It was a great introduction to Chongqing! We went with Jingxi, who showed us around like a local. We ate at a neighborhood restaurant, explored some popular tourist spots, enjoyed an authentic hotpot lunch, and wrapped up the tour at Liziba Station. The whole experience took about 4 hours and was a fun, easy way to get to know the city. Highly recommend!
Highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to eat like a local and understand the soul of the city. Perfect balance of food, culture, and conversation.
I am disappointed Panda wasnt forthcoming that she wasn’t the one who will tour us up to the minute we were chatting with her that we were already on our way to the meeting point. I have booked this 4 months ahead of the trip and was looking forward to it. It was the substitute’s first time to guide and while he was super nice, kind and takes great photos, he unfortunately had a hard time with english and we communicated a lot thru translation app. He also didn’t provide any info or stories on chongqing or the places we went to which for me are just as important in a tour. But he was a really nice person; and the places in the city are interesting and the food’s good so it was still worthwhile..
