The room wasn’t the one I booked. Water leaked under the first bed half way to the second one by the door. This was immediately after we checked in. The desk was called and in person spoke with Hispanic young lady, she said she would get guy to check. We were there 4 nights and no one ever came! Unacceptable! If we took a shower the water didn’t drain, I was up over my ankles by the time I got done. Old joke

The front desk people were lovely! The pool area was great with a bar attached and lots of outdoor seating overlooking the ocean. There’s also a Starbucks next door. Overall a great place to stay!

The resort is definitely family friendly. The lobby has been renovated which is really nice, but the room doors up stairs do need some paint!

We have stayed at Ocean Reef many times in the past, but this was our first stay in over ten years. Things we like: location at quieter northern end of Myrtle Beach and ON THE BEACH, opportunity to stay in a junior suite rather than just a bedroom for a reasonable price. Although we had read some renovations had been done, our suite this time was disappointingly "tired"- knobs missing from furniture and closet, light not working, refrigerator freezing up, tub faucet separated from wall. Housekeeping came by with new towels but no other housekeeping was done: no sheet change, no vacuuming for a week. None of these things had a ruining impact on our stay but were unexpected and will give us pause when considering a return in the future.

Poor room services. Had to ask several times for help. Fire alarms going off thru the night. TV had issues. Room had alot of sand in it. Not much privacy if have a connection door between the rooms. Dont have a room near the elevator or ice/vending machines.
