Facility is old, air conditioner can’t cool room enough, no water cup is provided, towel is not changed and room not cleaned each day.

We chose the Greatt Hotel for its location - 1 block from the Shilin Night Market (one of the best in Asia) and close to the Shilin train station - straight shot to CKS Memorial and convenient 15-minute bus to National Palace Museum. It is a bit spartan, but the rooms are clean and the bathroom was great. Reception was very nice and useful but did not speak English - the use of Google Translate solved all problems. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Clean, sparsely furnished hotel close to the Shilin Night Market.

The room I stayed was on the second floor, street side (aka city view). The room is very clean and everything works well. However, the traffic noise is TERRIBLE. I asked for a different room after the first night and was told they are fully booked and suggested me to use the supplied ear plugs. The building situated in a narrow alley and the noise from motorcycles and buses echos, very pronounced and persistent, day and night! Highly recommend not to get a room on the street side!

It’s a small renovated hotel, less than 20 rooms, I paid over $100 US per day

I stayed in another hotel less expensive in Zhongzheng area which was more convenient, the room was cleaned even if you leave it late (after 11am). Here, the receptionist open the hotel door. your card room doesn't allow you to enter the hotel, only switch the light from what I saw. There's apparently a self service Landry that I couldn't see as my card didn't allow me to open the door, to be honest I didn't ask why cause I saw meat or idk how to describe it in every corner of the stairs that takes you until the 6th floor. Finally the room, only the bthroom worth the price. The walls of the room I was given were dirty and not cleaned. Shilin district is nice, the night market is at just 2min by walk and it's a popular area that can offer many places to visit.

Very convenient location for Shilin night market, access to nearby hikes, and access to Beitou/Yangminsan. I accidentally left something in the room and they were conscientious about finding it and getting it back to me.

Clean rooms with good beds. Rather sparse decoration - very minimalist. Excellent location two blocks from Shilin night market.
