Tout etait parfait! Implacement idéal!

I stayed at Hôtel Cardinal in Bordeaux from 21st–23rd April and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience, especially given the high price. Both nights, the room was uncomfortably hot as the air conditioning did not work at all. It was 27° outside. The in-room phone was also faulty and would lose power within seconds, making it impossible to contact reception without going downstairs. On the first night, I had very little sleep due to the heat and was then woken early by cigarette smoke and loud noise coming from an enclosed terrace below, which travelled directly into the room. After a long day of business meetings, I returned the second night to the same issue. A staff member confirmed the air conditioning was not working in any rooms. I was initially offered a move, then told it wasn’t possible. I asked about a refund but received no response. I have since contacted the hotel twice and received no reply. For the price paid, this was unacceptable.

Outstanding location near brasseries, streetcars, and shops yet on a quiet street. Staff were friendly and helpful, making outstanding recommendations for food and entertainment. Very nice rooms with rain shower and mini kitchen. Nespresso machine started each morning well. Our six nights at Hotel Cardinal exceeded our expectations. We will return!

We loved our stay at Hotel Cardinal! It is really comfortable, clean, has a small kitchen, great shower, quiet, and the location is ideal!

Great Stay in the Heart of Bordeaux The hotel room was spacious and comfortable, with two nightstands and plenty of outlets to charge our devices. I loved the tall windows that let in lots of natural light, and the closet was roomy and even had its own light. The room also had a small table with two chairs — perfect for meals or working. The kitchenette was convenient, equipped with a fridge, microwave, and a few pots for light cooking. The bathroom was small but well-designed, with a heated towel rack and a shower that offered plenty of space and excellent water pressure. The location was perfect — just steps away from the Cathedral of Saint Catherine and close to many shops and restaurants. We felt safe walking around, even at night, and it was easy to take the bus back to the train station. The front desk staff were friendly, helpful, and spoke English, which made check-in and recommendations very easy. Overall, a great experience and a wonderful place to stay in Bordeaux!

This small boutique hotel is very comfortable and fashionable. The chairs at the small table are not comfortable for long sitting. Otherwise the amenities are perfect.

Not worth it. Nice enough for an average hotel. No comparison with 3 or 4 star hotels. Not well li; no special things given the price. Also Uber drivers have great difficulty finding the place.
