the onsen inside is good but not big enough. room is clean and bed is comfortable, but pillows are too soft. staffs are friendly and helpful. free sale and beer at night service is a perk. note there’s no TV in room but a real relax for my stay in Takayama

Loved everything about it. Room clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Onsen pretty awesome. Free popsicles. Juice and tea available. Free sake and beer at night. Breakfast amazing. Bed comfortable. Value exceptional. 100 percent would go back.

Fabulous! The Spa the the wear, evening sake, could have stayed there longer!!

Location of this establishment is definitely the best feature being in the heart of Takayama old town. The amenities offered are ok but not the best. They offer free drinks in the evening. On-site spa is not hot enough. Insulation is not ok. You can hear vibration from others talking next door and others stepping off of the bed platform on the floor above. Bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Lighting needs to be improved. Lighting level and quality is not enough for reading comfortably in your room. You would have to go to the lounge.

The room was spacious, spotless, and equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the city, with restaurants, convenience stores, and beautiful streets all within walking distance. The complimentary sake was a delightful surprise, and the fact that it was unlimited made the experience even more special. Overall, a fantastic stay, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Great hotel. Great location. Great value for money

The room is quite small and spartan but the location and amenities make up for this. The hotel is in the middle of the old town. It is an 8 min walk to the Miyagawa morning market. There is a nice onsen on the premises and they offer free drinks and sake tasting every night in the lobby area. Lots of restaurants nearby serving hida beef. Highly recommend.

A lovely hotel in a great area of town. We enjoyed the baths and the sake tasting.

This was our 6th 3 ⭐️hotel in Japan and our most disappointing. The room and the location of the hotel was good but what we felt let it down was the breakfast and the lounge area. You had to book a time slot for your breakfast for each day of the stay. Then you had no choice you lined up as if you were in a hostel to receive a Bento box which was alternated one day Western one day Japanese. The Happy Hour was a little disingenuous as all that was offered was sake and beer. I think there could be better accommodation offers elsewhere in Takayama.
