Perfect location. As u exit the train station, look to the left and u will see the hotel. Quick check in with cold water offered in lobby. Room was small but clean. Arrived late so had dinner at the hotel. Food was ok with reasonable prices.

The receptionist (with gray hair, blue? eyes, glasses) was kind and super-helpful. I’d stay at Ibis Marseille Gare St Charles again!

The hotel is conveniently located in walking distance from Sant Charles main train station. We had an issue trying to return our rental as Google maps kept saying it was near the hotel, but in most European cities, the car rentals are underground, and it was a block away. The hotel staff were very accommodating, and check in was a breeze. I noticed in a few of these hotels, the sinks are shallow and clog up easily. The room was very small, but it suited our needs for a one night stay. I liked that they had a bar and restaurant, and the staff was friendly.

Hotel was at good location to get around. But overall it was not great there is a lot of homeless people a cross the terase for restaurant so when we have breakfast the smell would be coming from there and in front entrance you can smell it. Breakfast selection was ok but staff was not replenish it often and there was a lot of flys going on the food that is there. And parking was available but it is public parking for train stations so no discount from hotel and it is not close to bring bags to front desk.

The hotel is in a great location for the main train station Marseille St Charles, being located directly alongside. The staff in the hotel were friendly and accommodating. The room was clean. The hotel is tired and in need of upgrading. Walls are needing painted and the bathrooms need updated. Unlike every other hotel I have stayed in (many!) they charge you €12 to leave your baggage after you have checked out. Portable lockers are used, as opposed to the usual baggage room and they are confusing to operate. Charging guests who have already paid for a few nights stay in the hotel, a further 12 euros to store baggage for an hour or so is a poor reflection on the company. “Grabbing every last euro” comes to mind, rather than providing a service for luggage holding which, like every other good hotel, is including free of charge. You also cannot easily access the toilets in the hotel lobby after you have checked out and handed back your keycard, because the toilets require card access. You have to therefore ask the staff for another keycard to use the toilets. Staff were nice and helpful, clearly these decisions are not made by them, however the whole thing makes for a poor experience upon leaving. Perhaps with all of the €12 being collected from weary paying customers, the management of the hotel could upgrade it to an acceptable standard.

Much better than exoected. Creative use of a small space in the room and incredible location. The only thing is that we saw a couple of rats in the outside room of the restaurant

The reception staff were quite rude and did not treat guests in a friendly or welcoming manner. They could also improve the quality of the rooms, as everything feels very old and worn out. On a positive note, the breakfast was good.

The hotel's location is very convenient for the airport, which is why I always choose to stay here whenever I visit Marseille, especially when I have an early airport shuttle or flight to catch. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable, making for a pleasant stay. The only downside is outside the hotel. As you approach from the street side, there is a strong smell of urine, which is a bit off-putting. Unfortunately, this is something I've noticed on every visit. However, once inside the hotel and at reception, everything is perfectly fine.
