The challenge of the property were the classic Dutch staircase. Very steep and somewhat dangerous with heavy luggage. Otherwise the room was terrific, clean and we were pleased. Would stay again.

AVOID! - The hotel photos are completely inaccurate and untruthful and the room we were given was very sub-par with stained bedding. When I asked to switch rooms to the one advertised in the photo, Hotel staff/management replied that the photos are just “marketing and not an accurate description of the actual rooms so too bad for us and no refunds.” They indicated that our only option is to suck it up or leave with no refund. We specifically booked the Deluxe room because of the amazing photos on the website. I would not have booked if I knew it was not an accurate description. I booked this room a month ago and Hotel management’s response to go find alternative accommodation on such short notice with no refund is completely unreasonable and unacceptable. Expedia’s response is even worse - even though I booked through Expedia, they absolved themselves of any responsibility for the false advertising and walked away from dealing with this saying it is the hotel’s issue to deal with. Completely unsatisfactory! I will be filing a dispute and claim of false advertising and fraud. again! What sort of company is that where they don’t stand behind what they advertise?!

My fiancé and I absolutely loved the hotel’s central location, which made exploring Amsterdam a breeze. It’s not a large hotel, so you won’t find the same amenities as a bigger one. Our room was small, but the bed was incredibly comfy. The only downside was the shower—figuring out the hot and cold water was a bit tricky, but we eventually got it sorted. also to the hotel does not clean your room every day so if that is something you want, it can be done. You just need to request it. In terms of value, it’s hard to beat. The hotel staff was incredibly friendly, and we were charmed by the adorable cat. They also offered a free happy hour from 4-6 p.m., which was a fantastic perk. Overall, I think it was a great value for the money, especially if you don’t spend a lot of time in your room. It’s the perfect place to stay if you want to be close to all the action in Amsterdam.

Booked a deluxe room based in part to the photos provided. The room we were provided with which we were assured was a deluxe room was smaller in size and lacking features shown in the photos.

Very friendly staff, cool cat, would stay here again any day.

We loved this hotel. It is a boutique property with unique and lovely styling. The surrounding area is postcard perfect! It is situated on a canal street and is an easy walk to almost anywhere. For longer distances, the tram (which is easy to use - just tap your cc when you get on and when you get off) is only a few blocks away. There are restaurants and shopping in the immediate area. In the area are the Negen Straatjes shopping area, the Anne Frank House (make advance reservations), markets, easy walk to Dam Square and just about anywhere. There also is a Jumbo market across the canal. The hotel offers guests a happy hour from 4-6 each day with drinks and snacks free of charge. The staff is lovely. Our room was large, comfortable and had windows that opened. There is AC and heat. There is no elevator. As is common in most buildings in Amsterdam, most of the stairs are narrow and steep. This can be a challenge for those with mobility issues and for those who bring heavy luggage. This situation is common in Amsterdam, even in restaurants, so don't be surprised. We would happily stay here again.

It was the perfect place! Our room faced the canal and it was a beautiful space! Far enough out of the busy, but close enough to walk wherever we wanted to go! Definitely recommend this hotel! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Reminder that stairs are steep and narrow. No elevator

Hairdryer provided but the only mirror in the whole room was in the bathroom and unable to plug it in there. Ask not to have rooms 1, 2 or 3 as many people go past, at all hours, very noisy.
