Wonderful hotel and staff were exceptional. Enjoyed our stay. Great location to the museums and convenient for the bus and tram stops.

Stayed multiple times. Always a pleasure. Do be advised that they are not set up for strong heat waves - no air conditioning.

Decent place but be aware there are no doors leading into the bathroom shower area for privacy and no air conditioning.

This was a last minute booking due to an issue with a different hotel. I booked quickly with Expedia and we arrived about 30 minutes after I booked. We walked in and it was HOT. They were having a heat wave in Amsterdam during this time. Anyway, as soon as I walked in I asked if they had air conditioning and was told no. The hostess was very kind and gave us some cold water while I tried to find a hotel room above ground with air conditioning. We never checked in. Expedia should clearly identify if a hotel does not have air conditioning. While I realize that air conditioners are not as common in Europe, I did not know they consider it an amenity vs standard. You must check the amenities before booking or call the hotel directly and make sure the rooms have AC. Btw, I am from South Texas and am used to the heat. But certainly not inside!

We wanted to find a good, affordable hotel near Concertgebouw. It is just behind the concert hall. Everything is in walking distance, i.e., Concerthebouw, museums, grocery store, restaurants, tram stations. House keeping staff were very friendly. Check-in, Check-out experiences may vary depending on who would be shifted at the time you do so, but in general, it is OK. Our room was clean, cozy, facing to the street viewing Concertgebow, park, and museums. Perfect!

No a/c,during a heat wave

Maybe tries a little too hard to seem hip, eco-cool and alternative, but the staff were very helpful and the place is clean, and well-located. Be warned, though: little space to work, no wardrobe (just a little rail) and the 'climate control' listed on the Hotels.com site is just a radiator - don't make the same mistake as me and expect aircon in hot weather.

Great location, very friendly staff, cute and silent patio, clean and spacious rooms.
