The room was surprisingly large for NYC and the stay overall is comfortable. the decor is a bit dated, particularly didn’t love the wall to walk carpeting which smelled a bit stale.

We always stay here - love the location and the property itself. Elevators can be a little challenging sometimes but not enough of an issue for us to want to make a change.

The staff was great, but the front desk attendants all seemed like they were being inconvenienced to a mild degree. I happened to have stayed down in the lobby bar area working for a few hours, while waiting for a room, and had interactions with everyone working. Oddly, they all seemed a bit annoyed or inconvenienced. Hard to explain, but their energy wasn’t inviting. Otherwise the rest of the staff was great. And while my stay was very good, the other review item I scored lower was maintenance. This is mostly the finishes in the room that require some refresh work. The wallpaper had visible lines, the bathroom needs better lighting and some TLC. The carpet and corners need to be redone (or replace with non carpeted flooring). The room was fine, but it’s showing its age. And I fully make that remark knowing NYC hotels are in old buildings that have different maintenance needs.
All in all, a good stay. Close to Central Park and all the good shopping :)

Pictures make the hotel look better than it is. Bed had a stain, lamp shade was torn and stained, interior of the bathroom mirror looked like it was unraveling. They could use some upgrading.

Great location and great hotel. I would stay there again. After staying near JFK (not recommended) this was an oasis!

Closely located to so many attractions: Rockefeller center, Radio City Music hall, Times Square, and the Hop on/Hop off bus drop. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location. Front desk staff was not very friendly. House keeping staff was very nice. 4:00 check in ended up being 7:00 check in due to room not being ready.
