The staff was amazing. Limited amount of time they are at the desk. The heat made the gates not work but the front desk showed us another way to enter! No elevator which was expected but tough. Air didn’t cool down the room. I suggest portable fans which definitely made it more comfortable to sleep. Lastly, the morning gate was unsafe. We were out of our room by 8 am and there were people doing drugs. They didn’t bother you and couldn’t get in the gate but none the less they were there.

It was nice and cold.

Overall for the price this hotel was ok. The room itself was older (not what you see in the photos). I was in a different part of the hotel I guess, there seemed to be another part of the property. The room and bathroom were clean and the linen was all clean. The building is old though, so it needed a bit of TLC. The plus is that the hotel is only a 2 minute walk from Roma Termini - The downside is that it is only a 2 minute walk from Roma Termini and this is a very rough area. (the hotel can't really do much about that) but I would recommend coming during daylight hours if possible and not coming home too late in the evening. There were some very dubious activities going on right outside the door. I would not recommend this for families or for anyone who is nervous about travelling in some sketchy areas (again the room is fine and quite secure as there are at least 3 doors to get through before you reach the room). If you need a cheap option for a night or two it's fine, but any longer than that I recommend you move a bit further away from the station if you can.

Disappointed about management.

Room 10, very spacious, air conditioner functioned well however was somewhat noisy and maintained freshness, but no cooler settings. The mattress had a metal spring popping out in the middle of it, which was quite painful but the available extra blanket helped as a quick fix. Location is very close walk to Rome Termini, which is great however, come evening time it is a sketchy neighborhood, grateful for police and military presence for surveillance. The door code for the street gate did not function upon my return at 9pm and no one at reception passed 8pm. Contact number available for such situations but guard next door helped me. Definitely not a strolling neighborhood passed 9pm...as a solo middle-aged travelling woman.

The staff was very kind and helpful. The air conditioners could use an update. At least one of them didn’t work and leaked on the table we had stuff on. It is conveniently close to the Roma Termini station; however, there were many homeless camped right outside the gate when we arrived and through the night. So much so that we didn’t feel comfortable leaving the property that evening.

Strangest place we have ever stayed at in our years of travel experience. We had to phone a number to check-in after 1600h as the front desk was closed. We phoned repeatedly over 20min before someone answered the "emergency line". If it weren't for another helpful visitor who let us into the inner courtyard, we would have been stuck on the streets for the entire 20min in a sketchy neighbourhood wondering what to do! The space is sparse with very minimal amenities (no soap for washing hands, no shampoo or conditioner, no tables or chairs to sit), bed was squeaky and uncomfortable, and the A/C didn't work on a day with outdoor temperature exceeding 30 degrees. Cleanliness was OK and had 4 pillows and enough towels. We survived staying there for 1 night but we don't recommend this place for anything more than that!

Le service , le personnel

Pros: *Finding the resort was easy, located just around the corner from Termini station, I selected it for its proximity. Last time we were in Rome we stayed nearly 2km away and it was not nice walking so far. *This hotel is close to restaurants, discount shopping, and some cheaper options like McDonalds and KFC when the expense of Rome becomes overwhelming near the end of the trip. *We stayed for two days before a cruise and one day before we left. Both times, we were permitted to drop off bags in the lobby (yes it's accessible to anyone but it's a small place and the staff member was close by to monitor the bags. We were confident they wouldnt be touched) and were informed when the room was available to access even though it was before check in time which was nice. *We stayed a floor up, no elevator, be we didnt expect one. *The courtyard was nice when there was a breeze. We got drinks at a nearby store and had a nice conversation and relax. Now for the negatives: *The kitchenette was sparse and missing some things like bowls but otherwise sufficient. *The area, is very sketchy. Outside the gates there was always a few people passed out from drug use. The area smelled heavily of pee. *The AC is the one thing made the stay miserable. We are used to weak ACs when traveling and don't mind sweating. This was otherworldly hot. It had to be 95°.. we had to open all windows at night, take cold showers, and had to sleep on top of covers nude. The AC ran but never worked.

The area is definitely not so safe for solo traveling but overall the room had everything that you would need.
