Brilliant location and breakfast options where great

The good: The room was clean and tidy. The location was central and excellent for a dash to the mall, train station or even a nice evening stroll. The view out my window was of the church gardens with a tidy lawn and lots of beautiful blooms. The not so great: It was smaller than I expected and only had a bed and a lean coat hanger/ bedside stand. There wasn’t room for bedside tables, let alone a desk. TV was wall mounted. Had some trouble operating the shower as the string that turns it on got stuck. The bathroom was pretty snug too. On the whole, the good outweighs the not so good. I’d probably stay here again if they have a more spacious room option.

Great location, friendly staff and a clean and comfortable room. Being a very old building the shower was a bit hit and miss but they do tell you that beforehand. Would definitely stay again.

Clean comfortable room good location staff friendly and helpful

The Mitre hotel was superbly located and competitively priced. The building is old and characterful. But the rooms are clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a bit dated and had an electric shower. These are typically a bit of a pain in the ass to use, but the flow rate was okay and the water was warm enough.. My room had a very uneven floor. Which was weird at first, but I quickly got used to it. Reception staff were efficient and friendly. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again

Amazing! Staff were lovely, brilliant location, it is above a pub but you can't hear the noise at all. Not the most modern but a really great hotel

Great area and in the heart of the city. The hotel building is old but still very comfortable. I had very little interaction with staff but all very friendly, in particular the girl at reception. I would choose the hotel again when I’m back in Manchester.

Our stay at this hotel was good, great location and lovely staff. However I booked a room for 7 people to share, the sofa beds weren’t made up to sleep in so we had to sort these and put the bedding on the duvets and pillows ourselves. There was 1 bathroom for everyone to share and it didn’t have a shower, only a bath.
