Our family stayed at the Maritim Hotel München for four nights and had a wonderful experience. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and our room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. One of the highlights of our stay was the hotel’s excellent location right next to the main train station, making it incredibly convenient for traveling to the city’s attractions and day-trip destinations. The city center was only about a 10-minute walk away, and there were plenty of restaurants, shops, and attractions nearby. Overall, we had a great stay and would gladly choose Maritim Hotel München again on our next visit to Munich.

The maritim hotel is located near to the Munich central station. If you catch the S5 train from the airport to Munich hauptbahnhof, then it's no more than a 5 minute walk away. On arriving at the hotel, the reception staff were very welcoming when we were checking in and gave us all the information we would need regarding breakfast time and the onsite facilities. We were also given some maps of the centre of Munich and some bottles of water. The room we had booked was okay for our stay, it was as we expected, very clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet selection was good and the staff in the restaurant were really nice and very helpful (especially when you operated the coffee machine for the first time), something for all tastes. If there was one thing that could be improved, I would say that the hotel should advertise what meals are available in an evening, they may do so, but I couldn't find it. Although we didn't use the swimming pool or sauna, it was good to know that they were there if we wanted. We found all the staff at the hotel to be very friendly and helpful, and we will certainly stay there again on our next trip to Munich. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Maritim Hotel. The location is pretty good with the railway station (ICE, regional train services, SBahn and Ubahn services there) across the road so getting around is easy. The tram stop is also nearby. Marienplatz is around 10 minutes walk, so you can get to the City centre easily.

This is a great location with quick access to the train station and restaurants

We'd booked this hotel for three nights at the end of May. Unfortunately, we arrived during a heatwave, and the air conditioning was not working. We were unable to sleep, despite being exhausted and sleep deprived after our flight from the United States. We looked into changing rooms and even changing buildings, but the entire hotel had the same issue. The hotel staff was at a loss of what to do, and just kept telling us that it was being worked on but that the system was completely overwhelmed. That's not very encouraging when one has intentionally selected a hotel that advertises air conditioning. We asked if they might have a fan, but they didn't even have that. I overheard several people complaining at reception and all were told that the air conditioning just could not keep up with the demand during the heatwave. It was so uncomfortable that we were forced to find a different hotel for the last two nights of our stay. Looking for a new hotel was not how I had hoped to spend my first day in Germany. Had the air conditioning been working I would have had no issues with this hotel. The breakfast was good, the rooms were sufficient, and the location was good for us. But the air conditioning issue was a deal-breaker. One needs to be able to sleep and that was just impossible.

Hotel wanted 5 Euros to use gym.

Having stayed at this hotel before, we booked 3 rooms at this hotel for our family trip to Munich. Upon check in we were not informed that the air conditioning was not working for the entire hotel. After speaking to front desk the next morning, learned that it would not be fixed during our 4 night stay. It is conveniently located near the main train station, but the area becomes a bit sketchy especially after dark.

Heart of the city, right off the main metro line. Front desk and bar staff were friendly and helpful. Maid service was horrible. Took a tip first day and it only seemed to build contempt for us. Not at all a safe neighborhood, pick pockets routinely in handcuffs on the street, tons of beggers, and homeless. Don't bring kids unless they want to check out the strip club next door. Just know what you're going into and you'll be fine.

We booked 2 joining rooms for 4 nights. The rooms faced a hostel which was very loud until all hours of the night making it impossible to sleep with open windows. -The airconditioning was not working for all 4. Nights while temperatures reached 90 plus degrees. Unbearable and unacceptable
