Amenities were under construction so I wasn’t able to access the fitness center. However, I did so much walking I made up for it seeing Kyoto. The breakfast buffet had a large variety of both Japanese and western food. The staff in the breakfast and front desk were attentive. The hotel is about 1 block from the Tozai Subway, which made it easy to see the city.

The hotel is located in a great location. Easy access to trains and subways as well as walking distance to shopping, restaurants and nightlife. Easy access to most tourist attractions. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful

Location wasn't the best as its a bit far from hotspots. The free shuttle bus was great. The hotel itself is a bit old, pool was closed.

We are very disappointed with our stay at this hotel. We made our reservation through Expedia, and it was clearly stated that our booking included amenities and breakfast. These were two of the main criteria in choosing this hotel. However, when we checked in, the front desk simply informed us that the amenities were under construction and unavailable for use. They also mentioned that even if the amenities were available, there would be an additional charge. This was very frustrating, as we could have stayed at other hotels at a lower price, but chose not to because they did not offer these amenities. The hotel management did not even acknowledge that guests should be informed in advance if the amenities are unavailable, especially when additional fees apply. Instead, they simply told us to resolve the issue with Expedia. In contrast, another hotel we booked during our stay in Osaka informed us ahead of time about construction work near by hotel and allowed us to cancel without penalty. This hotel, however, did not take any responsibility for notifying guests in advance for construction within the hotel!The manager simply stated that the hotel is old and the amenities need renovation. This demonstrates poor management and a lack of respect for guests, especially when guests are paying for services that are unavailable. Very friendly and respectful staff. Rooms a bit run down. Good location though.

Clean room ,convenient

Good hotel but old , need some updates , good restaurants , staff very friendly and helpful.

Room was spotless, desk staff very helpful, location across from the palace was perfect.

Did try the breakfast nor the spa but ethe transportation around the property was very good and convenient for getting around excellent smaller local style restaurants in the area
