Overall good place to stay at. It is a bit outdated within the rooms. The staff did not answer the phone the day of check in as I was calling because I would be checking in fairly late that night. GREAT location for Time Square though I must say, 5-6 minute walk. I do think the price was a bit much for what you get, but the rooms are cleaned every morning of your stay and clean overall.

Lovely place to stay. The staff were lovely, one of the staff kept giving me dirty looks one day while i was just sitting, but i didn’t pay too much mind to it. Went to the gym once and it was okay, didn’t have much equipment, but it’s okay. The bathroom was quite small which was annoying but i got used to it. i do understand the $100 a day refundable fee, but personally think it shouldn’t be that high. i did get it back a day later though so yeh. there was one ice machine that was never working which was annoying as i kept having to go to a different floor, but other than that, it was good.

The shower has one glass door and it half open so water just sprays all over the bathroom floor. The shower faucet kept falling off so I had to screw it together to use it lol. Apparently there are 3 designated floors to grab ice but realistically you can only get ice on floor 4. No breakfast, snacks to buy, no toothbrush, no extra towels for the soaked bathroom floor. Just a horrible experience being in the hotel. Oh also the elevators are so small and also doesn’t run properly. My room window was full of dust and debris that you can’t even see outside. I had to put 200 down for security for the 2 days which was fine, but there are automatically deductions so you don’t even get all your money back. For the price point to stay there and lack of amenities this place is horrible. P.S no refrigerator or microwave either.

The rooms need updating! Mine was old and not the cleanest hotel. The only good part of my stay in the hotel is a few minutes walk from Broadway.

This is my second stay at The Gallivant. And although it is in much need of an update to the rooms, the location was exactly what we needed. All the staff were very kind and helpful.

Great location. Clean hotel. Very little noise in room, despite the busy and noisy location.

Great location clean rooms and friendly staff

I have never written a negative hotel review before, but this experience was too disappointing to ignore. From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff acted like they didn’t want to be there. They were rude, unhelpful, and showed no interest in resolving our concerns. We stayed for two nights, but the Wi-Fi never worked in our room. On the first day, we were told a technician would fix it. The next morning, another receptionist said it would be working by the evening. That evening, a different receptionist finally admitted that our room had a known Wi-Fi issue and offered to move us the next day, even though we were checking out. If they already knew the room had this problem, why assign it to guests? The room was also very small, the bathroom door lock was almost broken, and the hotel looked old and poorly maintained. The TV didn’t even have a network connection, so it couldn’t be used. The only good thing about this hotel is its location. Unfortunately, good location cannot make up for poor customer service and lack of maintenance. This experience ruined our two-day vacation, and I would not recommend this hotel unless they make major improvements to both their service and facilities.

This was the worst experience ever didnt even get to really enjoy my vacation , the phones in the room dont work so anytime you had an issues you have to keep coming down stairs to ask for help , room very old and outdated paint chipping, very bad smell bed sheets had stains , toilet had plumbing issues I asked for help 2 times, water in shower took forever to drain, I can go on and on this place is the worst the only good thing was the housekeepers were really sweet and they even said the hotel owner are cheap and wont fix anything and they apologized

A lot of bad reviews on this page about this hotel but price was reasonable for such an amazing location. Hotel was in better condition than I thought / saw on reviews and staff were helpful especially the cleaners. I would stay again
