We were originally booked in a ground floor room which interconnected with another room, the neighbours were a little noisy and the adjoining door made it sound like they were in our room, however, I went to reception and they provided a solution without hesitation which we really appreciated. Great location, clean, tidy and friendly and responsive staff. Plenty of parking either off road or on the roadside. Cannot fault our stay at all.

The Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Food was fantastic! My stay was for several days, so I did get to try a variety of the menu options. Also the Rose Park, directly across the street, was very beautiful, with huge sweeping trees and walking pathways. Very enjoyable stay.

Lovely remodelled bathroom. I loved the view and a walk in the rose gardens. It was so easy to wander down the hill to the Orakei basin and the old church. Plenty of parking.

Check-in and out was very fast. The room was very clean and tidy. We chose the buffet breakfast and the food were delicious. The dining area was nice and welcoming. Also good that there was a free parking spot. On the other hand, wifi was a bit terrible in our room. Was also hoping to see the sky tower outside our room window but there was another building (another hotel maybe?) blocking the view.

The staff were so nice and helpful, and our room was really comfortable

The breakfast was Amazing !!!! I would go back here again just for the breakfast alone.

Parking free was a bonus when choosing where to stay

We have stayed here many times & always return because the rooms are clean & comfortable but also because there is free parking behind one of the buildings. There has recently been a change of ownership but it appears that this hasn't affected the way things are run. The staff are very helpful. Be aware that there are 3 buildings that house rooms. The Tudor Wing is the original part where the front desk is located. The rooms in this section can be prone to noise (tables & chairs being shuffled). Better to opt for rooms in the Colonial Wing. Also bear in mind that should you make a request regarding room preference, there is no guarantee it will be fulfilled, which is a shame. The beds are comfortable & the furnishings are well maintained. The location is ideal - close enough to the CBD but in a peaceful location. The rose gardens across the road are an added bonus. There is a good little fish & chip takeaway shop just down the road as well as a milkbar. There is a pricey restaurant nearby but it has weird hours. We have never eaten meals in the hotel so cannot comment but the menu looks reasonable enough. It's hard to past The Rose Park Hotel. Highly recommend.
