We arrived after 9 and check in went smoothly. We knew the restaurant closed soon but we mistakingly sat at the tables past the bar thinking that was it. The amazing bar tender just took our order and made everything work smoothly. The rooms were clean and although the breakfast is expensive it is worth it!

My travel partner (who is in a power wheelchair) and I spent four days there. An excellent place to stay if you are not staying in the city center. Room was very nice, but had one odd thing about it--especially given that it was a wheelchair accessible room-- and that was the the thermostat for the room was located at almost 6 feet above the floor (I'm 5' 6" and was looking UP at it). Uncertain why it was at such an (for Americans anyway) unusual height, and was totally inaccessible for someone in a wheelchair. It should be noted that the surrounding area is almost totally offices or apartments. Almost no commercial venues around except for a couple of restaurants across the street that kept unusual hours. If you are not driving while in Amsterdam, a bus stop is conveniently located in front of the hotel that, after a transfer, gets you into the city center.

Nice hotel, a little walk from Zuid station, but in a quiet residential area

Overall okay for the experience.

Away from the hustle and bustle of the canal district, but had a handy bus stop right outside the front door.
