The room was amazing, a whole wall of windows, we had amazing views from the 15th floor. Absolutely loved it. Will be coming back.

We chose this hotel based on location as we were attending a concert at the Cruijff arena. Easy train ride into touristy part of Amsterdam and just two stops from the airport. Hotel was just what we needed. Clean, decent breakfast and helpful staff,

Hotel is pleasant with really helpful and courteous staff. There were a couple of pungent smells on our floor (13) and it permeated into the room. It was really warm while we were there and the air con wasn’t great at all. It doesn’t stay on. Overall, we had three nights there. One for a concert at the stadium, so the location was ideal. The other 2 nights we spent in central Amsterdam, which is 10 stops away on metro - the metro is a short walk (5/7 mins) from the hotel. Breakfast is plentiful and fresh!

We arrived early for our stay (due to an early flight). We stored our luggage for free in the luggage store. We had a slight concern about the room as it wasn't locked, but it was directly opposite reception, so hopefully any 'dodgy' characters may have been noticed. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was a decent size for the 2 of us, and was clean. We had chosen not to have the room cleaned during our stay, and were surprised to find this entitled us to discount vouchers for the restaurant in the adjoining Holiday Inn (the Express has breakfast facilities, but doesn't cater for evening meals). We had one meal in the restaurant, which was good - fairly expensive, but the vouchers made it more reasonable. The 'free' breakfast choice was reasonable - continental, scrambled egg, toast, yogurt, fruit etc. The location is good. Generally a quiet area. It's a short walk to the nearby station, with a short journey to the main tourist areas. Would definitely recommend.

Overall very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was well maintained and substantial for an active day ahead.

Great location for concerts. No refrigerator in room! Bar / restaurant was very good, professionally staffed. Breakfast: can't someone get eggs right! No map of the immediate area was available.

It was a good standard at a good price. Excellent location for Ziggy dome, Ajax arena with trains, buses and trams all near by. The room was tidy, clean with nice linen on the beds. I would recommend a stay

The hotel was clean and the breakfast was good. This is the first Holiday Inn Express I've ever stayed at that did not have a fridge and microwave and we could've used those. This room was an extra one that I booked for my cousins and their infant. I called to verify a crib would be available and confirmed it. My cousin also called to confirm the same thing. I checked in a day early and verified again with the desk staff that a crib would be available. Confirmed. The next morning, I checked again and the staff said they did not see a crib for the reservation but that one would be delivered. I was away when my cousins arrived and they were told no cribs were available because they were broken and offered a small mattress instead. What!? My cousin rightly complained and they waived her parking fees. My cousins made the best of it but the desk staff need to get their act together.
