Location

Staff were very friendly and allowed me to check in slightly earlier which was very appreciated after a long flight. Rooms were spotless and well serviced. I missed breakfast on both days due to jet lag so cannot comment on the food. My only criticism is that the WiFi was useless with a 9mbps download speed which was surprising given that China is a mega giant in the communications industry! This made streaming impossible which was frustrating given no western tv channels. Again jet lag and awake in the middle of the night. In conclusion I would stay again if it was a short stay. Anything longer I would contemplate paying more and staying in the Hilton which is round the corner.

A typical hotel in China, spacious room, but it’s abit old. Nothing much in the nearby vicinity. A 15-20min car ride to the city center.

Clean room

Cleaner batharea would help.

Staff generally cold but that could be a cultural thing. Room was generally well clean except for an area near the entrance that is perpetually sticky. Breakfast was good for me. Room is old and there are quite a few brown water stains on the floor tiles. Very difficult to get a stable temperature when showering. Room is always stuffy as cold aircon function seems to be off. Was not able to get a good night’s rest, actually many nights. For some reasons. For a non smoking hotel, I keep detecting cigarette smoke in my room. Suspect neighbours smoking but I think the hotel do not enforce the no smoking rules. After all, it is a nation of smokers.

Honestly a bit disappointed considering the price I paid and what I got.

Carpet is very dirty, mold in the bathroom and shower head is not working properly.

Not too impressive. Aged condition.
