Upon first glance, it was not promising. I went to check in and there was a sign that said that they would be back in 10 minutes. I’m not gonna lie. I was road weary, tired and not impressed especially since the parking lot was completely jampacked and there was nowhere for me to wait so I circled around the building and took a moment to collect myself. I thought maybe I would find something to eat before check-in so back out on the road, I went only to find myself back by the hotel minutes later. I decided to pull in and take my chances in hopes that the receptionist was there. He’s just about to go for another airport transfer when he saw me walking up to the doorway and came back into the office to check me in. It was in this moment that I realize that he had a big role to play of not only receptionist, but also airport transfer driver. He gave us a newly remodeled upgraded room, which was amazing. Driving around for the second time I realize that the majority of the property was in the renovation process. Our room was amazing! Everything we needed and then son. Overall, we are very satisfied it was less than 10 minutes to the airport also which was a plus in there are plenty of grocery stores and places to eat within a 5 to 10 minute drive in a few places even within walking distance. would recommend

Great basic place to stay near the airport. Brilliant having the car storage and free shuttle.

Excellent experience. We were picked up at the airport and taken to the hotel. Very friendly staff. A great start to our trip.

Always a relaxed easy stay here! Love the friendly happy staff!

Newly renovated room, with double glazing & heat pump.

Gold Star Hotel is the best! Nice and clean room , and the airport shuttle is very convenient. I will definitely stay there again and highly recommend it to everyone.

All we needed for a one night stay except for the lack of spare blankets or a duvet.

Fine for a cheap and cheerful night’s stay before an early morning flight. They let you park for up to 7 days (for a charge) and offer shuttles to the airport. Very convenient.

Great staff,

The room was clean the staff were pleasant however the facility was badly dated poorly maintained. We were cold overnight no extra bedding was provided,
