It is the standard 2 star (adequate, but not quite up to the standard of a good long term) hotel in a 5 star location. TV didn’t work properl, lots of cracks for bugs, NO bright lighting (bath was very dark and dim)… Very clean bed, and the service was spectacular. Breakfast was abandoned due to ant invasion.

We had rain one night and water came into the room. The balcony door does not seal properly and allows for bugs and insects to enter the room.

Ottimo Hotel was charming with a unique decor - staff very accommodating and friendly. View wonderful and a homey feel with the two dogs that were present. Only concern was that air conditioner was working to full potential in the room I stayed in for one night. I would highly recommend the De Sea Almond Hotel in Chumphon , Thailand.

The hotel has two room sizes. The larger rooms were actually multiple rooms split between two floor. These rooms had an interesting architecture/style but need some maintenance. The smaller rooms were nice and better maintained. Breakfast was good. It included toast, fried dough, eggs, boiled rice and coffee or hot chocolate. There is a small beach and seating area in front of hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful.

They didn't have our booking and blamed some junior staff who had already finished work. They put us on the third floor with very bad aircon and bathroom. Don't waste your time and money here!

Difficult for old people to climb up to the room. The room is a bit run down. The owner and staff are friendly.
