I needed a late checkout and was offered midday for free but, needing 18:00hrs checkout due to my work and late flight, I've been charged more than a full night's stay extra!
Anyway I went to the 8th floor bar restaurant for some lunch and was told the kitchen and bar were closed. No apology, no explanation, no alternative suggestion. This is a 5* hotel, as a reminder, any hotel above 3* is all about customer service but clearly not in this case. Not to worry I went to the 7-11 around the corner. Lovely friendly helpful staff as I was struggling with translation. A lesson for the 'so-called' 5* hotel which I've stayed at several times before but never again! To be honest I was made to feel like I was in the wrong. This isn't the staff but purely poor management leadership. Step up or accept you're barely 3*......
