Overall, this was a great stay. Next time however, I would not stay on the Royal Mile. We learned that this is an extremely busy and very loud street in the heart of the tourist District. Not only is it right across the street from a very large church with loud bells that continue to ring into the night… The bars open up with many people still strolling down the streets at one or two in the morning. It is extremely loud, but it is very central to everything. We had issues with the air. It was only halfway working in our room. Also, the door that slides on a barn door apparatus did not work, but they fixed it quickly. This is an upscale Marriott property with all the other amenities. The restaurant was good. Front Desk staff was helpful. This was right across the street from many Tour options.

Perfectly located in old town just a short walk from all the major attractions. In the heart of all the action. Spent four days touring and was able to do everything on foot.

Ottimo I would have rated our stay a 5 except for one issue that was not resolved to our satisfaction. The washer did not drain properly and the staff took our clothing to rewash and dry them while the machine was repaired. No one ever came to repair the machine and when my clothes were returned, they were stuffed in a laundry bag and did not appear clean.
This hotel has many levels and stairs are unavoidable. We had stayed before and knew this so not an issue. Staff was very willing to assist with luggage.

Fantastic location on the Royal Mile. Hotel was clean and spacious. We had a washing machine in our room which we LOVED and was very useful after long hikes. Staff was very friendly. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Very well located, spacious and well kept. Unfortunately they put us in a room right at the entrance of their second building in our first night. Our bed was right in front of the main door, so anyone could see us and we could hear every one that was coming in + the cleaning team at 6am next morning. Also the air conditioning was not working.
Next day they moved us to a far better room that I believe should better reflect their standards.
Make sure you don’t get that 1st family room!

The location was ideal and the apartment setup was nice. The beds were comfortable and the whole place was clean. The bathroom door is very transparent which was strange and awkward depending on who you are with. The dryer in the apartment did not work at all after many cycles, so we were stuck with wet clothes. We felt mislead about breakfast being included and ended up with a lot of restaurant charges we didn't expect.
