My boyfriend & I stayed here June 1st-6th & we had the BEST time. Every single day we were there we always had people offering to help us & asked if we needed anything. I was very happy with the service & the room service was also top tier. 10/10 recommend staying here if you plan on going to an all inclusive resort!

Do Not Book. My husband, our three children, and myself checked into the Sunscape resort and our room wasn’t ready so we waited around, checking out the resort. We were given our room and the entire hallway reeked of fumes from paint or glue, but it was extremely strong. When we got into the room, it was even stronger. I started to get sick to my stomach and then developed a terrible headache. My husband spoke to their manager and they arranged for a room change. After the room change, the smell didn’t get much better, but the conditions of the room were disgusting. Paint was peeling and chipping. There were many bugs in the room and in the halls of the resort. The mini bar consisted of a bag of chips sitting on top of the mini fridge and water and beer inside the mini fridge. We took the children into the resort to swim and paint was peeling everywhere. The walls were dirty and the place was grungy. The conditions were not good and the waterslides were closed. The photos that represented the resort did not accurately portray the resort as is now. We went back to the manager and ask for a refund as we could not stay there. I was still feeling awful from the fumes and the conditions of the resort were not up to par for Hyatt resort, or even a motel six. We again ask for a refund, and the manager said that he contacted his boss and his boss denied us a refund. Unwilling to stay there, we left and booked elsewhere and lost $2500 to Sunscape.

The staff was so kind, helpful and friendly. Fun activities daily. Nice family shows in the evening. Food options were good: Italian, Mexican, Asian, and Steakhouse.

We booked a travel package on Expedia and had already specified the child's age. To celebrate the junior high school graduation trip, the child wanted a room with swim up and were excited. When we arrived at the hotel, we were told that under 18 years old could not stay in swim up room which adult only, she cried. Although the hotel later gave us a ocean-view suite, she was still unhappy. The hotel pushed the responsibility Expedia to allow us to book the adult only room. The hotel doesn't offer many dining options. There are three dinner restaurants. One was booked for several days and not available during our stayed, another had good Italian food, and the 3rd one was outdoors, making the staff sweat profusely. For the buffet, we visited in the afternoon of the first day and the daily breakfast was just average. Instead, the poolside tacos and burgers were pretty good. The child preferred the nachos and the daily variety of ice cream and candies. For the beach, there are so many seagrass that you can't get into the water, and the pool is packed. Fortunately, there is a jacuzzi in our room. Although it took two repairs before it finally operated, it was still better than the outdoor pool. We also had the VIP access on the 6th floor to play pool and other activities, which was quieter and less crowded. There were also beach volleyball and Latin dance activities very good. On the last day, we watched the sunrise from the beach. Overall, the hotel staff were very polite.

I went with the kids and grandkids. Pools were great and fun. Adults had fun with the aquatic exercice and kids had fun with the kids club and kids pool with the slides. Buffet was excellent: lot of choices. Restaurants were great; we went early to get a table for twelve people. We had to wait 2 hours to get our food at asian restaurant for twelve people.Little bit too much time waiting with kids. The evening entertainements were great with the dance shows and magic show. The beach had those brown algae so we didn't swim much at the beach. But still, the beach view was magnificent. The only thing, my daughter had requested a baby crib: she never saw it and she didn't insist to get one because she packed a travel crib: So it was not a problem. Overall, everyone loves 💕 the Sunscape and would like to come back.

We had an outstanding time with our two kids (20 months and 4.5years old). The property is wonderful and so are the people. Food is available throughout the resort with no wait times, same goes for beverages. Loungers were available at any time during the day as well. Beach is beautiful and wide, kids enjoyed playing in the sand. Staff was very friendly and went out of their way for us to make our experience even more fun. It was an incredible, relaxing vacation and we would go back in a heartbeat.

Tuve una experiencia muy buena en este hotel. Todo estuvo muy limpio y organizado, lo que hizo la estadía mucho más cómoda y agradable. El personal fue extremadamente amable, atento y siempre dispuesto a ayudar con una sonrisa. Definitivamente es un lugar al que volvería y que recomendaría a otras personas para disfrutar unas vacaciones tranquilas y agradables.

El personal del Hotel es excelente, muy profesionales y atentos, muy sincronizados, una limpieza extrema, pero a mi parecer no es un hotel de 5 estrellas pues su inmobiliaria está deteriorada. El baño de la habitación con losas rotas, la cama un lado cojo, el balcón los plásticos que tienen estaban descascarañados. El instructor de entrenamiento da lo mejor de sí para distraer al cliente, pero y después? No hay animación al resto de la tarde y la noche, no hay sala de juegos con mesas de billar, no programan fiestas ni ningún tipo de evento de distracción, es una pena porque tienen un personal valioso. Con relación al restaurante Italiano deben instruir mejor a los que cocinan en cuanto a la especialidad de las pastas, y al restaurant de las carnes que está al aire libre, nunca pude entrar y encontré excesivo los precios de las carnes que tienen para los clientes que querían reservar tenían que consumir lo que estaba en la tabla de oferta por ej: un tomajón 100usd, todo para poder hacer una reserva, así me lo explicó la joven de la entrada en dos ocasiones que fui. Si no hubiera sido por los empleados que se esmeran en atenciones, la estancia hubiera sido pésima.

We booked a room with ocean view, they gave us a corner room with partial/obstructed view. Front desk manager told us we had to book a "beach front" room to have a full view. That argument with front desk manager took 2 days back and forth, and ruined my experience. This was not clarified in the Travelocity web site. I just paid extra to get a room with ocean view, and the hotel didn't do his part. Also, Pools were smaller than what i,ve seen in other hotels. The hotel says "all inclusive" but you have to pay for room delivery service, and pool-side cabanas ($65/day). The beach have sea weeds so you can't swim (early June) In Travelocity.com, it was noted as having 10 restaurants. There are only 6. When i asked front desk for the number of restaurants, they noted it as wrong information. Beside those, other thing were good. Staff were super nice. Food quality, except for the Mexican restaurant and taco booth, were excellent. Restaurants are easily accessible without early booking. Public area/rest rooms were very clean. Perfect A/C. Thumbs up for the hard working personnel.
