Per due ore di relax, la barca scivola lungo l'Hudson, passa a distanza ravvicinata da una Statua della Libertà illuminata per ottime opportunità fotografiche e naviga sotto i ponti illuminati di Brooklyn, Manhattan e Williamsburg, il tutto accompagnato da un commento dal vivo coinvolgente e competente di guide locali. Sebbene le partenze più popolari possano risultare affollate – rendendo consigliabile arrivare 45 minuti prima per accaparrarsi un posto all'aperto sul lato di dritta (destra) – le splendide viste panoramiche e i ponti inferiori climatizzati rendono il biglietto un ottimo investimento sia per i neofiti che per i visitatori abituali.

Facile da salire a bordo! La maggior parte delle persone è andata sul ponte scoperto, ma io ho preferito il ponte con aria condizionata. Non è stato necessario riscattare i biglietti, il codice QR di Klook era tutto ciò di cui avevano bisogno. La guida camminava con il microfono ma si sentiva a malapena.

After booking through Klook, I received an email from the tour company, AmigoTour. It stated that the meeting point was on the sidewalk in front of the Hyatt Hotel entrance at 8:15 AM, 15 minutes before the tour started. Around 8:10 AM, I went to what I vaguely thought was the subway exit for the meeting point, and there were about 20 people, presumably tour participants, standing around. There were no signs or guides at the location. The Hyatt Hotel is at the corner of East 42nd Street and Lexington Avenue, and the meeting point was near that corner of the hotel. At 8:15 AM, our guide, Jose, loudly called out "AmigoTour." He checked the list of participants in the order they lined up. I had prepared my Klook eTicket on my smartphone, but it wasn't needed. We were on a half-day tour, but most participants seemed to be on the full-day tour. At the end, the guide told us, "We'll return to the Hyatt Hotel, but if you change your mind, you can switch to the full-day tour, just let me know." We wanted to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge and then to Battery Park and Ground Zero, so we informed him that we would "drop out at the Brooklyn Bridge as per our booking." After that, we boarded the bus that was parked across the intersection, and the tour began. The guide spoke English very slowly, which made it easy to understand. He was also very punctual, and as other reviews mentioned, he was an excellent person. For a tour costing only about 7,000 yen, it covered the perimeter of NYC (west -> north -> east -> south), allowing us to experience areas outside of central Manhattan. While it's difficult to visit areas like Harlem and the Bronx on a typical trip, this bus window tour provided a great experience. We stayed in NYC for three nights, and after being so satisfied with this tour on the first day, we decided to cancel our planned destinations for the remaining two days and just relax. Most of the approximately 30 participants were from Europe; we were the only Asians. This tour seems to only run on weekends, but the cost performance and the guide were both excellent. We were so satisfied that we gave a $10 tip to both the guide and the driver when we got off.
