Out of the six hotels I stayed at during my trip to Japan, this was by far the best. From the moment we arrived, the customer service was exceptional. The hotel was spotless, beautifully maintained, and offered a truly authentic Japanese experience with its traditional tatami rooms and the custom of removing your shoes at the entrance. The food was outstanding, and every staff member went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. The location couldn’t have been better, just minutes from Kyoto Station, shopping, restaurants, and many of Kyoto’s famous temples and attractions. This was the perfect hotel for our stay in Kyoto. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic, comfortable, and welcoming Japanese hotel. Excellent in every way!

Beautiful place! My first hotel I stayed at solo and it felt so safe. Staff is so friendly and everything felt so clean. I only stayed one night but 10/10 would stay again!

10min walk from Kyoto Station which is also where a lot of great day trip tours meet up. Check in and out process were clear and efficient and the staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Being an English speaker posed no problem at all. There were clear directions and explanations for the facilities and amenities via pamphlets, the TV home menu, and various QR codes. The rooms and hotel in general were simple and elegant using tatami mats throughout most areas and comfortable "room clothes" were provided that could be worn about the hotel (which was also handy for doing washing at the self serve hotel laundry). The breakfast option was excellent and I was able to find a great dinner place 5 minutes walk from the hotel. I could get up early for buffet breakfast, walk 10 minutes to a pre booked tour, spend all day exploring beautiful temples and scenery, do some laundry if needed, walk down the road and grab dinner, then head back to soak in the onsen before relaxing in bed (it was also summer and 39 degrees during said tours so the onsen really let you unwind that tired mind and body). Best stay on my trip so far. Almost didn't want to move on to the next city!

Great Hotel, the kids loved the free treats!

We loved the hotel, nice decoration, friendly staff, ice cream was available during our stay, yakult was available during breakfast. Ramen was more like seafood broth not soya base, food was delicious until we got diarrhea. We ate our breakfast at 6:30, by 1pm we felt unwell, I would stay here again but may not want the breakfast.

It was very comfortable to stay at the hotel. The staff was very friendly and very respectful.

I have never stayed at a place like this before where leaving was hard, not only are the stuff super welcoming and knowledgeable but they also provide excellent customer services. As for amenities, you will feel at home. I truly fell in love with this place <3

This hotel was better than I could’ve imagined! All of the amenities were top tier. The hotel is close to the train station but if you want to walk downtown, plan for a little bit more time - which I didn’t mind
