Rent a car in Amman
Explore Amman at Your Leisure
Renting a car in Amman allows you to comfortably visit the city's many attractions and historical sites. With your own vehicle, you can drive to the ancient Roman Theatre, the Citadel, and the King Abdullah Mosque without relying on public transport. You can also venture outside the city to the Dead Sea or the ancient city of Jerash, experiencing the freedom to explore these destinations on your own schedule.
Inspect Your Rental Car Thoroughly
Before you leave the rental lot, take the time to inspect the rental car for any pre-existing damage. Document any scratches, dents, or other issues and make sure the rental company is aware to prevent any misunderstandings when you return the car. It's advisable to take pictures or record a video as proof. Familiarize yourself with the rental agreement, including the policies on mileage, fuel, insurance, additional fees, and driving area restrictions. Most companies prefer the car to be returned with a full tank of fuel, so remember to refill before you return the car to avoid extra charges.
Child Safety Measures
If you're traveling with young children, it's important to ensure their safety by using appropriate car seats. Inquire with the rental agency about the availability of car seats and whether they will be installed prior to your pickup. Not having a proper car seat can lead to legal issues, so it's crucial to address this before you start your journey.
Plan Your Route to Avoid Traffic
Amman, like any major city, can experience heavy traffic congestion, particularly during rush hours. To avoid delays, try to plan your travel outside of peak times, which typically fall between 8 am and 10 am, and 4 pm to 6 pm. When driving in the city center or near popular tourist spots, be prepared for busy roads and take your time navigating the traffic.
Cost-Effective Exploration
While taxis and public transportation are available, they can be expensive and less convenient for travelers looking to explore at their own pace. Renting a car can be a more economical choice, especially if you plan to visit sites that are further afield. Most rental vehicles come equipped with GPS navigation to assist you in finding your way around.
Convenient Pickup Locations
Upon arrival at Queen Alia International Airport or within the city, you'll find several car rental agencies ready to serve you. Choose from a variety of vehicles to suit your needs and budget, and start your journey right from the airport or a downtown location.
Driving in Amman
In Amman, vehicles drive on the right side of the road. Road signs are typically in both Arabic and English, but having a vehicle with a reliable navigation system can be helpful, especially when traveling outside the city where signs may be less frequent. Be mindful of local driving customs and always adhere to traffic laws to ensure a safe and pleasant driving experience. Avoid driving under the influence of alcohol, as it is strictly prohibited and carries severe penalties.

Sangat baik Pajero(7座版) Mitsubishi 9 hari
