Friendly staff. The hostel is not far from Kyoto station, about a 15 minutes walk. There is plenty of space in the kitchen, with cutlery, pans, plates available.

Location is convenient to Kyoto Station and several metro stops. Staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms aren’t huge, but let’s be honest - you’re only there to sleep, anyway. I stay here every time I visit Kyoto and have never found a reason to change.

Nagyszerű Pros:
A. It was clean all the time.
B. The staffs are nice and very helpful. For the staffs, I would give them 5 stars all day.
C. The common room is so nice for meeting fellow travelers.
Con’s:
A. Had to pay for towels.
B. I had to put my linens, pillow cases and blanket myself when I checked in so I thought the room wasn’t ready.
C. They cleaned my room instead of the other person who left or checked out so I had to again do the things I mentioned in letter B.
D. We just had a super snorer that couldn’t tolerate and that same person kept turning the heater up to 80F.

Nagyszerű Functional. Staff were helpful. Room smelled like cigarettes despite a clear "no smoking" sign. Showers weren't too busy and work fine. It's very convenient that they have a little pizza-ish restaurant/pub right next door, esp. if you get in late and just want to eat without thinking about it.
