We loved our stay here. Close to train station, great staff, rooms big. Recommend getting a balcony. Would stay again.

Very nice hotel, rooms a bit small, didn’t like that the bathroom wasn’t separate (sink in the room, shower not closed off.

This hotel is amazing. My wife and I came to Japan for 2.5 weeks for our honeymoon and joked that the Potel was our home away from home, but it really was. Kyoto is amazing and we highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a sweet and modern hotel.

This is definitely not a family friendly hotel. They are charging you for a baby crib but offering you free drinks! If you are a youngster who is looking for free beer and free hipster coffee, this could be a good option for you. Other than that, this should not even be considered as a hotel.

The room was nice and clean and spacious. Great location by the park and aquarium. Friendly staff. Great breakfast with lots of American and Japanese choices. Easy drivable access to all attractions. Lots of extras in the hotel makes it for really nice time. I love the rooftop with a view. Enjoyed our stay and would recommend.
