Fantasztikus We absolutely loved our week long stay at the oriental hotel Kyoto ! The room was spacious and clean. The only thing we didn’t like in the room were the dirty walls and carpet. Those definitely need to be touched up.
The bike rental was fantastic! We got to see so much more than if we were on foot! They have refreshments after 2:30pm to enjoy, which is nice.
They have laundry machines on site. The dryer in the machine doesn’t really work so we ended up hang drying our clothes.
The hotel is located in a residential area so it is quiet and you get a true feel of life in kyoto. It is super close to restaurants, convenience stores, and public transportation.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again!

We enjoyed our 5 night stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean and reasonable size. The staff were friendly and helpful. It’s in a quieter area of Kyoto, mostly accessible by bus or walking but just a little further away from tourist hotspots. The mini fridge was pretty useless as it wouldn’t get colder regardless of what setting we used, and the lobby didn’t have any coffee or snacks until 2:30pm unless you paid for breakfast. We would stay again.

We stayed at this hotel because of the option to hire e-bikes at the hotel. They are great quality and the neighbourhood is very cycle friendly lots of small roads. Best to take a taxi from the airport as not as easy to access by public transport. The breakfast is catering for Japanese taste but I would have liked some more options including fruit, muesli and breads. We have been impressed there are many good artisan bread shops opening up around cities in Japan. They are very popular! We found amazing bread at a local market!

Great location in a residential beautiful street, as opposed to a touristy area. It’s about 10 minutes to the train station and 20 min walking to the Kyoto station. Very safe to walk even in the evening. Staff was attentive and helpful. The hotel offered complimentary snacks around 2 pm and the breakfast buffet was amazing!
