Everything was fantastic a out this hotel, we would highly recommend. We stayed as a family of 5 - 2 adults, 1 elementary aged child and 2 under five years old. The hotel is literal steps away from the Metro and JR station, convince stores all around and a lots of food and shopping options around the hotel too! Check in was a breeze, staff were very helpful. Rooms were very clean. The public bath was great and really added to an extra special experience at the hotel. The hotel is registered in Yamato luggage forwarding services. There was coin operated laundry machines on site but was often being used. The laundry machines in Japan don't typically dry heavier fabric clothes, so it might take 2-3 dry cycles to finish a load. There are laundromats close by that have bigger capacity if you are in a real pinch. There is also a guest lounge with free coffee and teas. There is also an on site resteraunt that we never ended eating at.

Excellent location right around the corner from Kyoto Station with plenty of dining options nearby. We did a number of day trips and used this as our home base. Loved having laundry facilities onsite, and access to a gym and onsen. The airport limousine to Itami Airport was just 3 minutes away and there was a Don Quiote and Family Mart right across the street. The complimentary coffee/tea/matcha latte was amazing!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Stay in Kyoto We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Vischio Kyoto by GRANVIA. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from Kyoto Station, making it very convenient for accessing the subway and Shinkansen (bullet train). The breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of delicious options to start the day. We also loved having a Don Quijote store right across the street, which made shopping and picking up essentials incredibly convenient. The hotel was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back on our next visit to Kyoto. Highly recommended!

The lobby and public areas are nice, clean and bright. Guests can get drinks like different kinds of tea, coffee or match drinks at the lounge which is nice. The room itself is very dark since there are not enough lights. Outside light is also limited since it’s facing another building very closely. No view at all for our room. Also there’s only recycle slippers which I am not comfortable with using. One important thing is to be aware of your surroundings for pick pockets in the neighborhood. My husband went to Familymart near the hotel one night and found out his backpack zippers were all opened when he was back to the hotel. He recalled there were many Indians around crowding him at the time and realize why the cashier was looking at him in a weird way. The cashier didn’t say anything but my husband thinks the cashier saw something. Fortunately, nothing was stolen. So be aware even Japan used to be a safe place.

Hotel Vischio Kyoto is a must stay if you’re planning on exploring Kyoto! It is such a convenient spot to stay, with its location being right across from Kyoto Station. The staff were extremely friendly, especially with luggage forwarding services. Overall, the rooms were spacious and comfortable after a long day of walking. Would highly recommend this hotel!
