Great place to stay. We were there for the weekend and everything was great. The staff, the surfboards, bodyboards, etc we could take to the beach for free. Super!

This hotel is all about location. Perfectly close to Santa Monica pier. Valet parking for the hotel was very expensive but was similar at most of the hotels near the pier. The room looked beautiful but was slightly less comfortable. The bed and towels left something to be desired. It seemed moderately safe, but I didn't stay out too late. The pool was small and very cold, but okay. Given the proximity of the ocean, you might not care about the pool. Overall, worth it for the location but quite expensive for the level of comfort provided.

We found The Pierside Hotel very last-minute and we had to head to UCLA for an emergency room procedure visit. I booked quickly through Hotels.com: it was pet-friendly, close enough to UCLA, and near the beach — honestly, my expectations were modest because we didn’t have the luxury of being picky. From the moment we pulled up, that changed. The valet greeted us warmly, helped unload, and within just a few steps we were through an incredibly easy check-in. They had the sweetest welcome gift for our French Bulldog, Francois: a cute dog bowl, beachy bandana, poop bags, and little stuffed toys. Instant points from Francois, who is a discerning gentleman. The hotel was quiet, easy, and comfortable — no long lobby maze, no stressful schlepping, just simple access to the elevator and our room. The room itself was peaceful, very comfortable, and had a lovely ocean view. Exactly what we needed: calm, comfort, safety, and ease. Every single day the staff made Francois and me feel like we were the only guests there, even though the hotel was sold out. Somehow it felt private and personal, which was such a gift during a hard week. The restaurant was also a standout. I ate there every day, and every server was friendly, thoughtful, and above-and-beyond helpful with recommendations. Francois even had his own menu, naturally. When I needed to extend my stay, they initially said they might need to move me because my room type was sold out. Within 30 minutes they called back and said no

The most adorable hotel, just steps from the pier! It really has everything you want in a great central location to everything. I just left and I’m ready to go back!

Great Hotel. Close to the beach, restaurants and shops in Santa Monica. Wonderful staff, very helpful and nice.

Location was excellent. All staff were polite and extremely helpful. Would definitely stay again
